Hells Gates

From my relatively "safe" spot, on the edge of one of the precipices,

it was like looking into the maw of a monster....the tide coming in and out like its breath.

 

well perhaps it was not really the maw of a monster, but it really was like it had a life of its own... and for a moment in time, we were apart of it
