Got chased by a guard in his car after taking this. He pretended he was going to run me down. I mocked him severely.
Standing on the east side of the Tiananmen square, looking south at the stream of people heading up the square. The building hidden in scaffolding is the Zhengyang Gate, located south of the Tiananmen Square and north of Qianmen Street.
The more distant tower is the Deshengmen Arrow Tower or Deshengmen Jianlou, one of the three well-preserved arrow towers in the inner city of Beijing, built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It covers a ground of 4,000 sq m. An important defensive gateway of northern China.

These gates are the main entrance from Downtown Bloomington to Indiana University and are part of the impressive campus "crescent." I was fortunate enough to catch a nice sunset through the gates the night I took this.

One of many gates hidden inside a castle named Hukvaldy. I was there many times, but I never saw this scenery. I don't know why, because I was there (at this exacly place), but I didn't notice about that view :)

Class 90 90050 + Class 86 86501 pass Acton Gate on there way into Stafford with a northbound freightliner. The photograph was taken from a foot crossing which was a good spot to photograph from in the morning, but alas the crossing has been closed and the path been diverted so another spot to photograph from has gone. 12/04/2003.

The 2,300-seat Golden Gate Theatre, completed in 1921 at 1 Taylor St., was designed by G. Albert Lansburgh for the Radio-Keith-Orpheum (RKO) theater circuit. It opened with seven vaudeville acts appearing in one night's performance. In the following decades, the theatre presented such performers as The Andrews Sisters, Louis Armstrong, Judy Garland, Nat King Cole, Roy Rogers, The Three Stooges, Ethel Waters, the Marx Brothers and Frank Sinatra, before RKO converted it in 1954 to present films. During the transition to showing movies, some of the interior architectural work was destroyed, with an escalator replacing the central marble staircase, and installation of neon signs. In the 1960s, the theater was divided into two theaters, with the balcony theater being christened the Penthouse Theatre. Business declined, and in 1972 RKO closed both theaters. BroadwaySF, a theatrical producing company owned by Carole Shorenstein Hays and Robert Nederlander, purchased the Golden Gate in 1979 and instituted a total renovation for use as a theater for plays and musicals.

Quan Chuong City Gate is officially named Dong Ha City Gate (Dong Ha Mon) or Thanh Ha City Gate (Thanh Ha Mon). Dong Ha and Thanh Ha were names of the village and the precinct in where located the City Gate. From the downtown of Hanoi, follow the streets of Hang Dao, Hang Ngang, Hang Duong, one can find Hang Chieu Street on the right hand. The City Gate is at the end of Hang Chieu Street.
Quang Chuong was one of the twenty-one city gates of Hanoi since 1749. In 1843, a Royal military mandarin Chuong Co, who was entrusted to guard over this and his soldiers, fought the French and sacrificed to the last person here. For this reason, it was named Quan Chuong City Gate.
Quang Chuong City Gate was built in 1749 and was restored many times. A stone stele, ercted in 1882, reads the order prohibiting the soldiers from troubling the passing-by people. The last restoration was in 1994 by Hanoi Office of Culture and Information.
Quang Chuong City Gate has two stories and 8 roofs. It comprised a 3-meter-high main entrance and two auxiliary entrances for pedestrians. On the entrances is the three characters Dong Ha Mon.
Quang Cuong is the only city gate between the city gate between the city center and the outside area remains today. It was an important for ratification of capital Regiment in the beginning of the resistance against the French from 1946 to 1947. Hanoi Sal-defense Unit also placed the anti-aircraft guns to protect Long Bien Bridge from American bombs here.
Quang Chuong City Gate is the vestige of historical value of Hanoi. It was listed as the historical-cultural vestige in 1994.

Again a shot trying out the Sony DSC-HX60 - Interestingly on auto mode the camera shot multiple times and processed the pictures together in camera, I think this gives a nice view of a shaded fence looking out into a bright sunny field. Then I cropped the image slightly on the PC
