The massive doors—seventeen feet high—were created by the eminent Florentine goldsmith, sculptor, and designer Lorenzo Ghiberti (1378-1380–1455).
Ghiberti placed ten brilliantly visualized scenes from the Old Testament amid surrounding frames that include twenty-four heads and twenty-four statuettes of Biblical heroes, heroines, prophets, and sibyls, all enclosed within a lush frieze of the flora and fauna of Tuscany. All offer proof of Ghiberti's unique ability to combine compositional strength with the utmost delicacy, creating rich pictorial effects and perspectives that were unprecedented. He employed various grades of relief in combination—some figures are shown nearly in the round, while others barely rise above the surface—a subtly intricate modeling technique that he practiced magisterially. The whole was enhanced through the use of fire gilding. It took twenty-seven years (1425–52) for Ghiberti's workshop to design and make the massive doors; the recent conservation effort to bring them back to their original splendor has taken an equivalent amount of time.

Holkham Hall is the home of the Coke family.
The Holkham Estate was purchased in 1609 by Sir Edward Coke. The house was built in the 18th century for Thomas Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester.

Holkham Hall is an eighteenth-century country house located adjacent to the village of Holkham, on the north coast of the English county of Norfolk. The hall was constructed in the Palladian style for Thomas Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester (fifth creation) by the architect William Kent, aided by the architect and aristocrat Lord Burlington.
Holkham Hall is one of England's finest examples of the Palladian revival style of architecture, and severity of its design is closer to Palladio's ideals than many of the other numerous Palladian style houses of the period. The Holkham estate, formerly known as Neals, had been purchased in 1609 by Sir Edward Coke, the founder of his family fortune. It is the ancestral home of the Coke family, the Earls of Leicester of Holkham.
The interior of the Hall is opulently, but by the standards of the day, simply decorated and furnished. Ornament is used with such restraint that it was possible to decorate both private and state rooms in the same style, without oppressing the former.[3] The main entrance is through the "Marble" Hall, which leads to the piano nobile, or the first floor, and state rooms. The most impressive of these rooms is the saloon, which has walls lined with red velvet. Each of the major state rooms is symmetrical; for some, false doors are necessary to achieve this effect.

By William Kent, executed and completed by Matthew Brettingham the Elder. Holkham
gault brick of exceptional quality. Slate roofs. Central block with 4 wings
divided by internal courtyards. Arranged as a Palladian villa on enlarged scale,
with references in towered central block to Inigo Jones's Wilton House. N front:
rusticated ground floor, 3 by pedimented central block with central Venetian window
recessed under brick semi-circular arch; 2 pedimented windows. Two flanking bays
and tower bays with similar Venetian window. Cornice, entablature recessed off
ridge. Towers with external storey and hipped roofs. Stacks recessed off ridge.
C19 plate glass to all windows on N Garden front (S) with rusticated ground floor.
Central hexastyle Corinthian portico, entablature with pediment, with six round-
headed windows, two pedimented windows either side and single Venetian window,
without superimposed arch, to towers. The glazing bars on this front have been
reinstated. At four comers two storey link blocks to four wings containing
chapel, kitchen, guest wing and private family wing. Each wing has identical
elevations: rusticated ground floor, 2 1/2 storey central block of 3 bays, 2 storey
flanking blocks of one bay, each pedimented. Each has 4 prominent eaves stacks to
central block and subsidiary stacks to flanking blocks.
Interior: the central block arranged as suite of rooms of parade on piano-nobile.
Central Stone Hall, an evocation of the Vitruvian so-called Egyptian Hall and of
the apsed and aisled antique basilica, with alabaster facings, a rich Ionic Order
from the Temple of Fortuna Virilis, Rome; coffered cove and compartmented ceiling.
To West the North Dining Room, the Sculpture gallery with Octagon rooms at N and S,
and on axis with the Stone Hall the Drawing Room with a deep cofferet vault.

These falls are on Gates Mills Creek, which continues to flow meeting the Chagrin River in Gates Mills, Ohio. There was once a small bridge over the ravine, but it was demolished some years ago, presumably to help the ravine be restored to its original form. The county still maintains an easement where the bridge once stood, but there is no place to park a car. The falls can still be viewed by those willing to hike or ride a bike to the area, then climbing down a rocky and slippery escarpment. The ravine can also be viewed from above the falls by walking toward the ledge of the falls (see link below) but I would advise using the strongest of caution if doing this. The creek bottom is extremelly slippery, and going over the falls would not be a pleasant experience.
Secret tip of top notch photography when not in the mood to drag out a tripod, use the flash on auto focus and let it focus! After that turn on manual focus and put the flash down without moving the camera.

This shot is a little out of focus because when I saw the truck coming and thought of the shot, I turned around so quickly to catch it that I almost fell! Plus, the truck whizzed past really, really fast. Still, I love that reflection and just had to post it...
