a Papá Noel.

If a stranger were drowning, to what extent would you help them out? Throw them a life preserver? Dive in after them? Give them CPR? mouth to mouth resuscitation?

The last gasp of early spring flowers! The crocus ushered us from winter to spring. But, they are almost gone! Next up, daffodils and tulips!

I caught a bit of an intense light show at dawn this morning while on the Sunday dog walk. A big difference on last weeks, which was very moody and dark. I probably prefer those mornings from a photographers point of view but I have to admit as a spectical to witness, this morning was awesome, I did let out a little gasp when I looked up. I noticed a number of photographers all geared up, rushing round with their camera’s on tripods looking for the photo, I do the same when out purposely for photography, but today I’m not, no pressure. I was just crouched down with my xt30 on its little tabletop tripod, all easy to carry with my old top loader holster. Photos taken and still a bonny sky but I needed to find Carla and the dogs, she’ll be standing up top freezing again, but I’m sure that sunrise warmed her heart. This is why I like to carry a little camera around with me, you never know what’s over the next horizon.
I knew they shouldn't have lighted all the candles at once!
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR WONDERFUL WELL WISHES. I'M OVERWHELMED!

Me: I know, they stole a bunch of my pictures!
Truck: And not a single one of me!
Me: Uh, you're totally missing the point, Truck.
Truck: What the hell? How could they possibly overlook ME?
Me: Keep posing nude, and that all could change.
Rome : Quirinale Palace and view of Rome
Gaspar Van Vittel
The palace that gives its name to the open space was started by the architect M.Longhi il Vecchio ( 1573-77), continued by O.Mascherino ( 1578-85 ). Built on the site the fifteenth century villa of the cardinal Carafa and later of cardinal Ippolito d'Este ,as a summer residence the popes ,it was enlarged by the architects Domenico Fontana ,Flaminio Ponzio ,Carlo Maderno and G.Lorenzo Bernini .Under pope Alexander VII ,Pietro da Cortona executed the pictorial decorations ,pope Clement XII completed the building and pope Benedict XIV enriched its gardens .Beggining with pope Clement VIII ( 1592 ) it was the papal seat until 1870 when it became the Royal Palace of Savoy ,with transformed the severe spirit of the rooms in the wing E toward the garden to make it more representative .Finally since 1947 ,il is the residence of the President of the Italian Republic .
The façade erected by D.Fontana for pope Sixtus V ( 1589 ) in the austere forms of the late Renaissance ,is 2 storeys with flatted and timpanum windows and is animated by the portal of Maderno ( 1615 ) with columns supporting a rich tympanum ,on wich are the statues of St.Peter ( Maderno ) and St.Paul ( Brthelot ) .Above is the loggia of blessing ( 1638 ) by Bernini . At the center Madonna with Child by P.Fenucci ( 1635 ) . It circular tower ,also by Bernini ( 1626 ) enlivens the compact façade on the left . From this place you can enjoy a beautiful view of Rome .

SCOUT: "A monster!?!" *Alarmed.*
ROSIE: "Eeeeekkkk!" *Screams.* "Where?"
BOGART: "Oh I\'m scared of monsters!" *Trembles.*
JAGO: "Please stay calm, little ones!" *Soothingly.* "There are no monsters here, and that noise certainly wasn\'t any monster with metallic teeth or otherwise come to chew up Daddy\'s house, Little Ladybird."
LITTLE LADYBIRD: "There isn\'t, Jago?" *Relieved.*
JAGO: "No, Little Ladybird." *Shakes head.*
SCOUT, ROSIE and BOGART: *Breathe a sigh of relief.*

The Christmas Cards are special "Classic Paddington" Christmas Cards of Peggy Fortnum illustrations. They come as a box set of twenty made up of four designs, published by Museums and Galleries in the United Kingdom.
This beautiful nursery rhyme tea set was made in England by the Shell China Company in the 1930s. It features cups, saucers and plates as well as a teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl. Each piece is gilt edged and decorated and feature different nursery rhymes including: "Ding Dong Dell Pussy’s in the Well", "The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe", "Old King Cole", "Pat a Cake Pat a Cake Baker’s Man", "Little Tommy Tittlemouse", "See Saw Margery Daw" and &This Little Pig Went to Market" amongst others. The set I acquired from England, and it is a sister set to a 1920s Shell China Company nursery rhyme tea set and a 1920s faerie tale tea set. There are also doll (bear) sized tea spoons which are sterling silver salt and mustard spoons.
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Rosie is Scout\'s cousin, because like Scout, she is a free trade knitted bear from Africa. She was made in Kenya by one of the Kenana Knitters, Martha Wanjira. She is made from home spun and dyed wool. She was a gift to me from two very dear friends, includng the one who gave Scout to Paddy.
Bogart has travelled all the way from Georgia, via Alabama as a gift to me from a friend. He has lovely Southern manners and seems to be a fun and gentle soul with an inquisitive nature.
Jago was a gift from a dear friend in England. He is made of English mohair with suede paw pads and glass eyes. He is a gentle bear, kind and patient who carries an air of calm about him. He is already fitting in with everyone else very nicely.
Daisy Maud is Jago\'s little sister and was made by the same friend in England who made him. She is made of German mohair with floral fabric cotton paw pads that match her pretty sunhat, and glass eyes. A sweet and loving little girl bear, she is happy to be reunited with her big brother, Jago, and enjoys being spoiled by her Daddy.
Lovingly handmade in Merrythought’s historic British factory in Ironbridge, Shropshire, Little Ladybird’s creation has been inspired by the English country garden. Crafted from the finest black and white short mohair and featuring a pure wool felt ladybird ‘shell’ adorned with embroidered spots, she a pair of ‘antennae’ to finish her off. Little Ladybird is number 3 of a limited edition of 300 issued worldwide.
When you see something excellent or something very beautiful, a silent (open mouthed) gasp in astonishment will be the greatest word one can ever say !!
A jumper surfaces and gasps as she comes up in the icy lake water during the Penguin Plunge held at City Beach in Whitefish Montana as part of the City’s annual Winter Carnival. The plunge is held to benefit Special Olympics and is sponsored by Local Law Enforcement agencies and businesses. Over 130 people jumped and raised more than $40,000!
