Despite living in Houston, one of the most diverse restaurant towns in the south, Sarah and I hit several restaurants at least once a month. Sadly we have pretty much extended our restaurant rut behavior to Comic Con. We make a good show of considering our options, but 9 times out of 10 you can find us at the same pizza place for lunch.

Trudging back to the light rail station after the first full day at Comic-Con. Still as many people coming as going and this was pretty late in the day.
A panoramic I shot while waiting for the train on the evening of Friday Comic-Con 2008. Last year the fountain was open for kids to play in. I sure do love Lawsuit America. Do ambulance chasers ever feel guilty about the world they have given us?

A stack of cookbooks on the fireplace mantle of the Palace Bar at the Horton Grand Hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. www.hortongrand.com/history.php. Wyatt Earp lived in this hotel for the seven years he lived in San Diego, and rumor has it that the hotel is haunted.

San Diego’s lively district that comprises a rich array of restored Victorian-era buildings that are now restaurants, boutique hotels and entertainment venues. The entire quarter is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

In front of the beautiful and vintage Spreckel's Theatre in San Diego's Gas Lamp Quarter. The logical explanation is that these two gentlemen had just left a business lunch where they were given gift bags and the centerpieces off the table, but isn't it fun to think they were up to no good and bought flowers and gifts for their wives to ease their consciences? It does sort of look like they're cooking up a good "alibi" story . . . ;)) So many stories to be found on the street . . . enjoy your weekend!
