Here's something you don't always see, an outdoor hockey game... on a frozen pond... on Long Island. With the temps in the low teens these adventurous kids got out and played old school hockey.

Game King: made to look like a Game Boy Advance but it plays like a Nintendo Game & Watch! B&W screen and an 8bit game.
This figure is one of many that were bought by my husband's parents in Japan in the mid 1950s. They were stationed there after the war Korean War. I don't know what these figures are called or what they might be worth. I hope someone call give me some details about them.
Top view - Vanilla cake carved to resemble a PS3 controller. Iced in buttercream and covered in homemade fondant. All details in fondant & buttercream. Entire cake is completely edible.
It seems that as one follows the back roads in Central Texas, often the unexpected is discovered. There certainly are more exotic and native game ranches out there than I realized. The animals pictured here were on ranch property enclosed by high deer and game fencing.

This little scenario happened right in front of my seat when I was covering the provincial games. She recovered, but had to sit out the game.
Just got my camera body back after sending it out to be cleaned and having the auto focus tuned. Looks good to me! And yes, we still enjoy having a game night.......... What's your families favorite game???

This game involved throwing a pair of sandals at a bunch of running children. At first I thought they had made it up. However, in Kujang Sain (the village we did our field studies in) they children played the same.
Probably a great game for when you are frustrated and want to let off some steam!

I have had this video game set for about ten years now and haven't played it for a long time. As a lot of TV is a complete wasteland right now we hauled it all out and purchased a small TV to play it on. I cannot believe how bad I am at playing this! I forgot all I ever knew This is going to take some practice, and I will just get good at it again and it will be time for all the spring outside work to start. It would probably also help to be 15 years old again :)
