The tables are ready for the gamers.
This was actually shot through a window. I was walking back across the bridge from the other side of the tracks down by union station and saw these two game piece boards inside this room. I was hoping for the image to come through like I saw it through the window and I was fairly happy with it.

Gordon Freeman: After getting the alien CMF from the new series my friend was like “GORDON FREEMAN!” and so I made him.
Johnny Silverhand: Probably the most straight forward of the bunch. The Winter Soldier parts worked surprisingly well.
The Witcher: More based on the show but that torso works SO well. Really the best head for the video game version is Reinhardt’s head.
This is a model of a character in a game called Free Fire. This model is meticulously and skillfully designed and made by artisans. So this model has a very cool and beautiful shape.. It wears a red demon mask with two long horns and especially has a fierce looking gun in its hand. This photo was taken by me with my iPhone 12 Promax with high resolution.

Lately, it seems we are on a streak of winning sunsets, so I decided to drive over here at dusk. It was a short drive and a short walk to get here, but I'm glad I did it. It was a win.
It's a game of chance when I go out for sunsets. We often get cloud banks just offshore. I think it will be good, I drive over, and then it's a dud. It's a gamble I'm willing to take. But lately, the odds have been good, and I'm getting a little payoff.
This image is comprised of six different frames. I focused on the foreground, took three bracketed shots, then the same thing on the background. I combined everything in AuroraHDR and Photoshop. I did it in a way that everything appears to be in focus. Then, one last stop in Luminar for some final touches. In reality, there were a few more minor steps here and there, but that's the gist of it.
The moral of the story is, ...hmmm, there is no moral. Just a little luck.
This was taken about an hour before game time at a game in which the San Diego Padres humiliated the Dodgers (two days before the famous 4+1 home run game!) At least I had fun taking pictures. We like to sit on the Top Deck at Dodger Stadium where the seats are cheap ($6), the fans are for the most part well behaved, and it's not impossible to get a seat in the section behind home plate. The view is wonderful. The field is laid out in front of you so that you can study the game, noting things like the positions of the fielders for various batters. The steep walk down to your seats can be unnerving, so if you have any fear of heights, get seats on the lower levels. Also, it takes a while to realize that every flyball in not a homerun.
This is my first attempt at HDR. To create this shot I took three exposure bracketed shots propping my arm on the armrest to steady the camera. The pictures were combined and tone-mapped in Photomatix.
