Noccalula Falls Park (originally known as the Black Creek Falls) is a 250-acre public park located in Gadsden, Alabama, United States. The main feature of the park is a 90-foot waterfall with a trail winding through Black Creek Gorge at its base past caves, an aboriginal fort, an abandoned dam, pioneer homestead, and Civil War carvings.
Has a fall of 90 feet. One of GOD's many masterpieces.
The falls was on land owned by R.A. Mitchell who gave the land to the City of Gadsden for improvement.
First time I remember seeing these animals. In the winter they will be all white.

This stately Classical Revival house, built circa 1904 was the residence of Col. Oliver Roland Hood. (1867-1981), eminent Gadsden attorney and civic leader. Col. Hood was one of three incorporators of Alabama Power Co. in 1906 and author of it charter. For 35 years Hood was closely associated with William Patrick Lay in the development of electric power in Alabama. In 1954 the Gadsden Women's Club purchased the property to house their organization which was founded in 1923.
