Our cat Gadget sheds uncontrollably. If we sit on a chair after she has been there we end up covered in her grey cat hair. We were told that cats hate aluminum foil and to keep them from climbing on furniture we should put foil on the chairs. At first Gadget was deterred by the foil, but after a while she got brave and tried it out. Soon she was hooked on it. She liked to sleep on the foil on the chair. So we put the foil in her sleeping box, and now she prefers to sleep there!
Switch on the back for various types of recording. I leave it on "1" which is standard narration. "2" is for ambient sounds like a concert and I think "3" is for recording instruments.
The Blue Snowball plugs in via USB to the Mac and is recognized straight away - no drivers needed.

The Snowball comes with a retro look n feel in chrome, white or black. The mic can be removed from its retractable stand and the legs can be folded. I didn't know this the first time we recorded but the mic head can tilt too.

A gadget shop near Grote Markt has gift wrapping with images of Zwarte Piet, despite the lack of any sort of holiday decorations in the store.
In the Netherlands, Zwarte Piet is the name given to Sinterklaas' slave(s) and a traditional part of the holiday.

I did own this lens for a while but this is not it - this is an imitation, a fraud, a wannabe. It is in fact a plastic Thermos mug :)
The funniest description I’ve seen from one retailer for this product:
“Please be advised this is just a drinking mug for hot or cold drinks. It will not fit on your camera, it will not take pictures, it will not zoom or focus, it does not contain glass or lenses and it is not made of Unobtainium.”
