This is from the first day out and about with the new fisheye, well actually it was about 5 mins with the new fisheye as i got to the cliffs and saw that there was a decent swell so i went surfing instead! (still got the surfing disease and just cant ignore the call of the waves)
But, in the time i was there, as well as spotting the nordic walker (see previous vertorama) i also bumped into my mate Jeremy (WightPod here on flickr) and grabbed a quick portrait of him posing with his latest homemade gadget. Not sure exactly how to describe it, but i think its a sort of extreme fisheye of sorts and i'm looking forward to seeing what the results look like

I’ve recently seen popping up on Facebook the video below which intrigues me know end! What with 3D printers becoming more readily available to consumers know we see an interesting handheld take on this!
The phenomena, helped by Kickstarter, seems to have caught on quickly and I seem to be...
Been meaning to get round to it for a long time but will try to review all the equipment that we use for TV production.
Narration (known as "Afureco" [アフレコ] in Japanese which is short for "After Recording") for Culture Japan Season 2 is done in my office. For the pilot episode of Culture Japan Season 0, we used a studio in Roppongi who charged us 200,000 yen for using their facilities - and for only a few hours!
My production budget would run out pretty quick if we carried on like that so decided to do it myself.
The voice actress for Mirai Suenaga is UTACO and we regularly stream our recording sessions from the studio on my Ustream channel - you need to keep an eye out on my Twitter or Facebook as broadcasts are spontaneous - yesterdays broadcast below.

Here is a little cutie! Bought for only $4.50 (£3 UK) a few weeks ago, it's full of style, color and versatility. Designed in the 70's, it still runs smoothly. I love it!
A recent survey shows that nearly 80% of Japanese folks who have used both Android and iPhone would recommend iPhone to others.
The survey also revealed that 54% of current Android users would recommend the iPhone with the main reason being "Easy to use" (68.8%).
A few comments from the Japanese community about this survey as follows:-
iPhone is for the rich
Android is for the poor
iPhone is for beginners
Android is for Japanese
What do people do with an iphone?
You can easily customise the hardware and the OS of Android phones which I like
How about you? If you have used both Android and iPhone, which would you recommend to others?
There is a poll embedded in this article.

Here's a picture of what the Spy Squad Cat Burglar villain comes with.
She comes with:
Glasses
Cat Ear Headset
Chunky Necklace
Boots
A blue Vest
Giant Pink Crystal
Since I don't think the internet has enough cat photos, here's some from me.
I got home from work and the little man was lying in a shaft of light on the landing as the early evening sun was streaming through the window. I had to grab a camera a fire off a few frames.
I reached for the Fuji X-E2 with the 35mm f/1.4 lens and it handled the ultra high contrast scene with ease. The AF on this camera is fantastic and I love the quality of files it produces.

Our cat Gadget sheds uncontrollably. If we sit on a chair after she has been there we end up covered in her grey cat hair. We were told that cats hate aluminum foil and to keep them from climbing on furniture we should put foil on the chairs. At first Gadget was deterred by the foil, but after a while she got brave and tried it out. Soon she was hooked on it. She liked to sleep on the foil on the chair. So we put the foil in her sleeping box, and now she prefers to sleep there!
