Nick said, "Think beyond candy and pumpkins. Think about colors smells and textures." OK. Here you go. Just slightly beyond the pumpkin. I'm sure anyone who has every ripped the guts out of one will relate to the colors, smells and texture of this stuff! :)
Happy Halloween...

These are fake guts that were created out of silicone originating from individual casts, painted for texture and later garnished with a special mix of syrup, water and food for particulars in the blood-like liquid.

this came in an interesting succesion of 3 cars. one being sike and big 5 one being guts and goose, and one being sike over guts and goose. odd to me for the reason that they only went over one of the goose and guts cars. i guess its possible that the cars were connected after the fact, but i dont think thats the case.
It took real GUTS to do what he did.
This guy fell about 125 yards from the finish line. I was standing at the finish line for High School Cross Country runners. I don't know how many runners were in this race, but if there were 200 he would have probably finished about number 195 or so. When I first saw him fall, the finish line Monitors, (there were 5 of them) went on high alert. One of them called out to the runner to get up and yelled, "GET UP; COME ON!"
He stumbled to his feet and then began staggering slowly toward the finish line. As he approached he almost fell twice more. He was literally running in slow motion.
The Monitors and the crowd lining the path to the finish, continued to urge him on.
As he crossed the line, he collapsed into the hands of those waiting for him and they assisted him in walking to those awaiting the runners.
I believe he was cheered more than the winner.
To me, he was the winner of the race even though he finished almost last. I was so impressed that he was able to get up, and continue to run. That took real will power and was a physical statement of his make up.
You can see the anguish in his face and body, as well as the dirt on his leg, hand and arm from the fall.
Credit has to also be given to the Monitors who urged him on and knew exactly what was about to happen when he regained his feet and began to finish his run. They are real professionals.
See the following 2 Photos of his approach to the finish line.

The guts. I had to make the floats really long, since when I tried to catch them they showed through the white. I think I'm going to have to line this...
I'm working from this chart; that site is a fantastic resource for free colorwork patterns!
The hub shell has been machined by Textima to reduce the distance between the flanges to reduce the dish. The guts are swapped from a Campy front hub . This has to be seen in conjunction with the disc wheels of the 2nd generation which have a smaller dish and the costly Campy (foreign currency) hubs have been replace by their own production parts which where for material cost only (labour was plenty available in the Government controlled economic)
For the 1st generation of disc wheels they used standard low flange Campy hubs.
