Finally got around to building the Orb (Power Gem) from Guardians of the Galaxy. Enjoyed being able to use the Death Star halves for something else.
Three Infinity Stones down after the Cosmic Cube and the Aether. I need to get on the Mind Gem though, because Doctor Strange is coming and with it, stone #5. My bet is the Soul Gem, but it could be Time as well I suppose.
Might tweak the stands a bit before ECCE 2017.
Whos going to see Guardians of the Galaxy this weekend?
I was hoping to go this weekend but my niece will be entering the world tomorrow (super excited!) and I have work to finish up. Hopefully I can go sometime late next week.

In my opinion Vin Diesel has more than proved he can expertly play characters of few words, both animated and live action.
It occurred to me this morning, while I was waiting for my niece to be born, that I could tie two of the characters together into one drawing.
I made this because some people asked me how to make this MOC on other SNS.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 last night! The movie is much better than the first one. It’s funnier, more emotional, and by far the most beautiful MCU film in terms of how well the soundtrack, visuals, and costume design mesh together thematically. Ego was definitely one of the least throwaway villains of the MCU (I’d put him right up there with Zemo), and we got to see some incredibly natural character development from Nebula, Drax, Rocket, and even Yondu. He’s definitely a minifigure that I absolutely HAVE to have now.
Go see this movie!! You won’t be disappointed. Unless you were hoping for a lot of Warlock. :)

I really liked the visual of the 'ball of Groot,' surrounding the other Guardians to keep them safe. Wasn't easy to build and a bit disappointed by how difficult it was to photograph and get the depth of the 'ball'. Overall, pleased.
In a parallel universe where everyone is the same... except they have really big bobbleheads... Spidey and Starlord journey into mystery!

Here's a LEGO rendition of a Ravager M-Ship flown by Rocket Raccoon in the battle in the skies of Xandar from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy described in a sentence with too many prepositions.
I know the removal of the classic Tower of Terror attraction has been a controversial topic among fans. It was a great ride. I do enjoy the new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction though. Have you helped the Guardians Breakout of the Collector's Fortress yet?
