55,722 GTO 2-door hardtops (LeMans with GTO package) were built for the 1965 model year (August 1964-July 1965) at $2,920 factory delivered suggested retail price. The 4-barrel 389 V8 (335 HP) with dual exhausts was standard on the GTO, with an optional high performance 360 HP variant available.

En viaje expreso a León, Gto, fuimos al Festival Internacional de Globo 2011, este festival se hace en un parque junto a una presa, la ventaja es la cercanía al D.F. de 5 hrs. y esa misma es su desventaja, ya que muchos van y es complicado encontrar hospedaje, muchos optan por acampar dentro del parque.
