Pontiac GTO Première Muscle Cars
En 1963 lorsque l'ingénieur en chef de Pontiac , John Z. DeLorean , et son équipe ont installé un moteur de grande taille dans le châssis intermédiaire de la division, ils ont immédiatement inventé la Muscle Cars.
Au cours de ces 20 minutes , Bill Collins et Russ Gee ont assembler un moteur V-8 389 ci dans un châssis Tempest .
Ils ont créé le prototype de la GTO de Pontiac et ont changé le cours de l'histoire de l'automobile
À partir de ce moment, les voitures de performance américaines ne seront plus jamais les mêmes .

After its initial success, the GTO became its own model starting in 1966, so a true '66 can easily be identified if the second and third digits of the VIN are 42.

The Ferrari 250 GTO is a racing GT car which was produced by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964 for homologation into the FIA's Group 3 Grand Touring Car category. The numerical part of its name denotes the displacement in cubic centimeters of each cylinder of the engine, whilst GTO stands for "Gran Turismo Omologato", Italian for "Grand Touring Homologated." When new, the GTO cost $18,000 in the United States, and buyers had to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari and his dealer for North America, Luigi Chinetti.
39 250 GTOs were manufactured between 1962 and 1964. This includes 33 cars with 1962-63 bodywork (Series I), three cars with 1964 (Series II) bodywork similar to the Ferrari 250 LM and three "330 GTO" specials with a larger engine. Four of the older 1962-1963 (Series I) cars were retrofitted in 1964 with an updated (Series II) body.
In 2004, Sports Car International placed the 250 GTO eighth on a list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s, and nominated it the top sports car of all time. Similarly, Motor Trend Classic placed the 250 GTO first on a list of the "Greatest Ferraris of all time".

1967 Pontiac GTO, one of the best muscle cars of all time. My uncle still owns his red GTO that he bought new in 1967. With a 400ci V8 and 4-speed transmission, its a street monster and some of his stories from back in the day are incredible.

One of the best looking cars in the world!! This gorgeous Ferrari 250 GTO is one of 34 GTO's build. This lovely machine was parked in the woods during the Ferrari Relay in Holland

Donkervoort D8 GTO (2013–present)
The Donkervoort D8 GTO is a completely new creation. The engine, a 2.5L TFSI 5-cylinder turbocharged Audi engine, has a power output of 250-280 kW (340-380PS) and 450Nm of torque at 1600rpm, and the whole car weighs less than 700 kg. This low weight is due to composite materials such as the full carbon fibre body of the D8 GTO. With a power-to-weight ratio of just 1.8 kg/PS the car accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 2.8s and from 0–200 km/h in just 8.6s.
This model is considered as the 5th Generation of the Pontiac GTO, offered for model years 2004-2006. GM in Australia (Holden) were still offering some interesting cars at the time including the V8 powered Generation 3 Monaro, sold as a Pontiac GTO in the US.

Probably the ugliest GTO I have ever seen but heard so many spotters around me who felt in love with this color combination. I don't like the colors but it's still GTO...
