A two rotor GS was launched in 1973. Dubbed the Citroën GS Birotor (also called Citroën GZ), it featured a 107 PS Wankel birotor produced by the joint NSU-Citroën Comotor project. This style of motor is noted for its smooth power delivery which complemented the luxurious ride quality of the hydropneumatic suspension. The Birotor was extensively reengineered, besides for the Comotor 624 engine. Discs all around (ventilated in front), different wheels with a five-bolt pattern rather than three, and a three-speed semi-automatic transmission were combined with a more luxurious interior and flared wings to set the Birotor apart from its lesser siblings. Sadly, the Birotor was placed in the uncomfortable position of costing more than the larger, faster, more economical and less complex Citroën DS which quickly sealed its fate.
The Birotor version achieved poor sales and was quickly pulled from the market after 847 units sold. It was not economical for its size and was launched during the 1973 oil crisis.
The sales and quality were so disappointing that Citroën attempted to buy back and scrap each Birotor, as it did not want to support the model with spare parts. A few of these remarkable vehicles have nonetheless survived in the hands of collectors, many without titles for some time as Citroën did not want to recognize the cars.

Just cleaned this Genesis GS-7 and put a new battery in it. Went fos a walk this sunny Friday afternoon. The quite basic autofocus works, but I doubt its precision... The marks on the front lens ring tell me, that someone has tried to do something with the lenses... Though the pictures are quite ok focus wise (Ilford PAN 400 film was used while the Sun was setting, so aperture must have been quite closed down).

30.03.2023. - Ogres nov., Latvija. Nacionālo bruņoto spēku Aviācijas bāzē norisinās pirmā Gaisa spēku instruktoru konference, kuras laikā tiek ieviesti apakšvienību standarti. Ieviestie apakšvienību standarti kalpos kā vienības vienojošais simbols un tiks izmantots svinīgos un atceres pasākumos, lai prezentētu katru Gaisa spēku apakšvienību.
Konferences mērķis ir sniegt instruktoriem izpratni par instruktoru lomu un nozīmīgumu, karavīru karjeras izaugsmes iespējām un turpmākās vadlīnijas, kā efektīvi pildīt uzdotos dienesta uzdevumus. Šādas konferences uzlabo instruktoru sastāva izpratni par vienību lomu kopēju uzdevumu izpildē, kā arī kā Gaisa spēku apakšvienības ir veidojušās, attīstījušās un kādi ir vienību nākotnes plāni un projekti

No 5. līdz 15. jūnijam Dienvidkurzemes novada, Nīcas pagastā esošajā NBS Jūrmalciema militārās aviācijas poligonā norisinās starptautiskās militārās mācības „Baltic Zenith 2022”, kuru laikā Latvijas, Lietuvas, Čehijas un ASV karavīri pilnveido iemaņas kaujas šaušanā pa gaisa mērķiem.
Mācībās piedalās aptuveni 300 dalībnieku, tostarp karavīri, zemessargi un civilie darbinieki no Gaisa spēkiem, Sauszemes spēku Mehanizētās kājnieku brigādes, Zemessardzes, Lietuvas Bruņotajiem spēkiem, Čehijas un ASV armijas pretgaisa aizsardzības vienībām.
Mācību mērķis ir trenēt un profesionāli sagatavot tuvās darbības rādiusa pretgaisa aizsardzības raķešu sistēmu RBS-70, GROM, STINGER un AVENGER speciālistus, veicot praktiskos kaujas šaušanas vingrinājumus pa gaisa mērķiem.

So that'll be back to the drawing board for Citroen then.
The other thing that really struck me about this car was how tiny the actual engine was; most of the underbonnet was taken up with ancillaries of one sort or another.
Interior a symphony of biege
The GS is a small family car manufactured and marketed by Citroën for model years 1970-1986 in sedan and wagon bodystyles (1970-1980), over a single generation. The GS received a facelift in 1979 and was subsequently marketed as the GSA in hatchback and wagon bodystyles (1979-1986).
The GS was voted European Car of the Year for 1971 and was noted as technologically advanced, with class leading comfort, safety and aerodynamics.
She was all over the place; picking up plates; assisting customers to empty tables; and bring new silverware to little people who drop their forks on the floor.
