Il Grand Place è la piazza centrale di Bruxelles. Elementi caratteristici della piazza sono il municipio, la cosiddetta Casa del Pane e diversi edifici straordinariamente omogenei risalenti principalmente dal tardo 17° secolo. L'architettura fornisce una chiara dimostrazione del livello di vita sociale e culturale di quel periodo in questo importante centro politico e commerciale. La piazza è la meta turistica più importante e punto di riferimento più caratteristico di Bruxelles. Misura 68 per 110 metri ed è parte del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO.
The Grand Place is the central square of Brussels. It is surrounded by guildhalls, the city's Town Hall, the Breadhouse and several remarkably homogeneous buildings dating mainly from the late 17th century. The architecture provides a vivid illustration of the level of social and cultural life of the period in this important political and commercial centre. The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels. It measures 68 by 110 metres and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
