Only had one thing on my Christmas list this year...and Ms. Claus came through.
You can put it in the flash shoe or mount it on your camera strap. No batteries required (plugging it into the camera gives it power).
It cannot receive signals in buildings, large trees can prevent it from receiving signals, as can really bad weather according to the manual, but it works like a charm, otherwise.
Best part of all; when I add a picture to a map (on Flickr), it loads the location automatically...and with amazing precision, I might add!
I'm really looking forward to using it when on assignment in remote parts of Alaska and in Europe next fall.
