reoccurring goddess imagery that keeps on surfacing in my work. This was just an excersize on pulling forms out of abstract strokes.
This mariners compass quilt was started last summer using Judy Mathesin's freezer paper method. I used part of a batik jelly roll that won in Katies quilting corner giveaway last year. The words peace, love and joy are quilted in the rays.

This swap is for Mimi, whose birth goddess is Juno. She possesses warmth, comfort and material things, so I made her with a dress to resemble a quilt in a diamond pattern with stitching while the border of the quilt becomes her bodice.
The very first tin covered with polymer clay. I wanted it to be interesting inside and out, so both top and bottom are covered and each has a spiral in the center.
