A glossy robot looking at his hands in a thoughtful way, as if seeing himself for the first time. A concept in self discovery perhaps, or being made new.
I was excited to see an Ibis. I've seen Ibis in the zoo, a different kind, but didn't know we had them here. They're really cute to watch!

This visit to El Fondo Natural park was dominated by the sheer number of Glossy Ibis. I often see them flying over but have never seen large numbers in and around the water. They provided a great opportunity for testing out my new teleconverter getting shots like this one of a group (or congregation) that were in constant motion and displaying some amazing colours. These birds were all over the Coto Donana National Park. Beautiful iridescence on the wings. We saw these from our rooms. Glossy ibis = plegadis falcinellus. (plegadis means sickle like as does falcinellus, relating to the bill shape).
