After another terroristic attack on migrant structures in Berlin, about four thousands people took to the streets, demanding justice and protection.
For years nazis have been insecuring this area of Berlin and, as was recently known, spending time with the same police officers, that where supposed to observe them.
Cars and buildings were torched, risking innocent lives.

Gordon Smith last used this letter template in October 2018. Once in two months I do some archival work at the Ministry of Social Affairs. It has to do with the GDPR (AVG in Dutch) and the Public Records Act (Archiefwet). Some documents has to be destroyed once every few months.

… I must have been deranged … c. 2003 I spotted this on an auction website and recognised that it was a view of Bournemouth (despite the thumbnail size of the images back then). The saleroom was in Dublin and it was catalogued as a generic beach scene. The auction had finished but it was unsold. Contacted the auction house and they were kind enough to put me in contact with the vendor (pre-GDPR). Made an offer to the vendor who accepted. Flew … yes, flew … to Dublin to retrieve it but knew that I couldn’t get it on the plane so instead took it to a local shipping company somewhere who made a shipping crate. Lived with it for many years but ultimately fell out of love with it and flogged it on to the next greedy collector …
