A mama gator hangs by her brood and will immediately come to their aid if she hears their distress call. Best not to mess with Mother Gator! A small geological feature on the way to the Colonnade Arch (5-Hole-Arch) east of the Green River. In the background on the left are the La Sal Mountains.
Elsewhere, it is also called Crocodile Rock.

Up close and personal, these gators were along the side of the dirt road. I go out of the car to capture these amazing creatures.
A caimán is an alligatorid crocodilian belonging to the subfamily Caimaninae, one of two primary lineages within Alligatoridae, the other being alligators. Caimans inhabit Central and South America. They are small sized crocodilians, with an average maximum weight of 6 to 40 kg (13 to 88 lb), depending on species......(Wikipedia)

Taken a few weeks ago during a fishing trip to the Everglades (previously posted a different shot from the same day). The sort of high-key effect is due to the harsh light conditions.

Last of the NYS&W stack trains, HAN-2 rolls toward Vernon, NJ after an early spring snowfall covered the rails. A three piece variety of lease units power the days train.

Green cay wetlands
A medium size gator -about 5-6ft long .
Surrounded by myths and tales, the Solse Gat is a pit in the middle of the forests of Sprielderbos. Because of it's unusual shape, soil condition and location, it is rich of rare plants and species. As such, it is protected by Staatsbosbeheer.
Sometimes the gators swim into some orange water. Who can resist? (Alligator mississippiensis) (Sony a1, 200-600 lens @600mm, f/6.3, 1/400 second, ISO 1600)
This was the same gator as the one in the big boy shot. He was close enough that we could have reached out and touched him, a little disconcerting for a gator the guide had named Jumper.
