This is a clone I built of the Hoof fuzz. Mainly just out of curiosity, but it turns out to be a pretty cool circuit. It's basically a green Russian Big Muff with the two middle transistors swapped out for 2N1308 high-gain germanium transistors and the clipping diodes swapped out for LEDs. Plus an added midrange control they call, "Shift."
So, yeah...five knob Fuzz Face build. Someone had asked me about using BC209C transistors and I’ve never really built silicon Fuzz Face projects. Pretty much always germanium. So I decided to experiment. Usually with germanium the common wisdom is for Q1 to be around 70 hFE and Q2 to be around 130 hFE. Silicon transistors are way hotter. This has a 400 hFE in Q1 and a 528 hFE in Q2. Sounds cool to me. Cleans up with the guitar’s Volume knob like it should. Maybe the ratios are more important than the voltage.

I was finally able to finish sanding Donovan, and added make up to her little face. The pastel set I bought didn't have any red (whah?!), so I mixed colors until I found something I liked. ^^

I think the Karl Fuzz may be my favorite "angry" fuzz, but they never get the full majestic wedge treatment. Well, second-class no more, buddy!
Through the help of the people of NASA. It was not easy in which to get a Ford XLT Ranger 2001 to go about at a breaking speed of Mach 6 or 7 past the speed of sound and to penetrate and to break through the atmosphere of the earth into open space. But we got the job done, and the Fuzz sent down this signal (note inside of photo) to the master relay processing stations in Nasa down in Florida where the scientists had anxiously awaited a reply from the Fuzz.

A shot of the component side of my Octave Fuzz from BYOC.
I'm not getting any output, so I'm hoping some helpful members of the BYOC forum can help me troubleshoot.

Jeffrey and I went up Waimea Canyon to Koke'e State Park. This picture was taken at the Pu'u o Kila Lookout, elevation 4176ft. I found this flower quite beautiful, really loved the fine fuzz.
