A close up of the ice's surface. I swept away some excess snow with my hat before taking the pic. Unfortunately, it left a tiny bit of fuzz on the surface. :(
The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter was recently overrun with heaps of these fuzz bombs. Some staff and volunteers are providing foster care for the kittens until they're eight weeks old and can be adopted. Chiquita's kittens are currently a dazed and confused eight weeks old.

Lots of detail can be resolved, such as the little fuzz from the leaves of this tree.

Frank's muzzle hair grew back rather quickly but I think I will wait until mid to late spring to cut it again.
Lately, I find myself fascinated with the delicate hairs that appear on some plants and wildflowers. Probably started this Spring with Stinging Lupine and Fiddleneck and grew from there to Scarlet Locoweed. This is a different take on the Indian Paintbrush that posed for me in an earlier image. I like textures brought out by the extreme closeup here. (I think my polarizer was actually touching one or two of the flower bracts, but they're still in focus, amazingly enough.)

Mac has hairy little feet. He's indoor only, so his pads are as soft as baby cheeks! I like smooshing them with my finger when hes sleeping XD
Well, it turned out pretty ugly! I'm OK with that, though. It's my own pedal. I don't mind it looking like a terrible industrial accident. It really reinforces the fact that I should never be allowed to do finish work on pedals, though. There's a reason I have others do the work for me most of the time.
This is a turret-board build of a Big Muff fuzz variant. I'm calling it the, "Undead Fuzz." In Brian DePalma's, "Phantom of the Paradise" the record label was, "Death Records" and that dead bird was their logo. The band Swan chose to perform the Phantom's cantata was The Undeads. That's why I called it the, "Undead Fuzz." I'm shooting for the sound that starts off, "Somebody Super Like You."
My laptop is without doubt the best Christmas gift a girl could ask for, but running a very close second is the only other thing I asked for - a fleece-lined hoodie from Bean's. Oh so toasty and cozy on a chilly evening.
The moss grows like beards over the trees here. Lichens join the mix.
