This is Fuzz. She is one of the four cats that live at Wilson's Nursery in Frankfort, Kentucky USA. I took this for my granddaughter who loves cats.
;-) I´ve been told it´s modern to take blurred photos...
OFC it was an accident - the peacock didn´t cooperate. Like the result though ;-)
Driving through Hyperspace ain't like dusting crops boy, one wrong miscalculation and we could crash into a star or a meteorite and that would end this trip real quick
I *love* this year's color. :)
"In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless."

This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Peach Fuzz, Pantone's Color of the Year for 2024. My mug came on time this year and I am ready to go! HMMM! And Happy New Year 2024!
This photo was taken on Sunday, after a restless night that we spent over at Bernie's sister house. We went over there on a Saturday and had plans to spend the night so Bernie's pain in the neck neighbor wouldnt bother us for a ride at 6am Sunday to go to work. Well the Fuzz had other plans for us, he was just bad all night, when we left Sunday at 9am and got back to the apartment, the fuzz just went to sleep like a big baby
Dusky Moorhen (Gallinula tenebrosa) juvenile
A quick stop at Skeleton Creek on the way home today to see how all the babies are going. There were a number of Moorhens on the creek with their young.
Warthogs are day animals and spend most of their time looking for food. They are normally found in family groups. Warthogs have the peculiar habit of kneeling on the front knees while feeding and foraging in a localised area. They shelter in burrows at night, which they enter tail first. Socially, three main groups are encountered, namely solitary boars, bachelor groups and matriarchal groups. Matriarchal groups consist of adult sows with their young and yearlings. Boars play no part in rearing piglets.
"They thought not much of him on first glance, for he was small and scrawny. Yet when bested their leader with his swords, the bandits could not help but respect their new leader. "

The Greater Good.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Nicholas Angel and Danny Butterman respectively, from the fantastic film Hot Fuzz. If you haven't seen it for some reason, please go watch it, and the other two movies in the Cornetto Trilogy.

The two most common species of blues where I live (including the Havtornsudd cape on the Gålö peninsula where this is taken) is the silver-studded blue and the northern blue, also known as the idas blue.
The problem with this is that they look so incredibly similar that telling which is which is quite difficult. Both species enjoy heather alot and basically the same habitat so that is no help either.
A knowledgable aquaintance of mine took a look at the photo and immediately deducted it was a pair of silver-studded blues (Plebejus argus) due to the concentration of blue near the base of the wings on the male.
These two made a couple of half-hearted efforts to fly away from me while coupled, but soon gave up and conentrated on their business while I took a couple of shots.
