Photographed this scene at the Towles Court Art Center and community area in downtown Sarasota, FL. The area was built in the 1920s and is a great neighborhood with funky cottages and delightful homes. I love the vibrant colors of the area.

What an unusual spider face. And he had beautiful golden palps. He was shy and kept trying to be on the side of the pole away from me. I kept at it and finally got one face shot before he moved again. A very white bristly mustache. I could find very little information on the internet about this species. I feel lucky to have found it, apparently they are not often seen. Glad it was the more stunning male that I found, females are a bit more subdued in their markings.

I'm liking the added orange border better, but the more I think about it, a quilt out of blocks of asterisks with a solid background and no border would be really cool too.
