Funky Flower Brooch
Handmade kumihimo with stoneware button
Approx. 3" across and .75" thick at center

Funky Flower Brooch is a handmade kumihimo brooch, made using 16 strand kumihimo of Black Bunny Fibers 100% wool, hand dyed in a green teal colorway.
The centerpiece is a handmade stoneware button, glazed in bright yellow, by Lisa Peters ART. It has been handbeaded in both peyote stitch and branched fringe, using Delicas in a mix of Opaque and Luster Whipped Butter.
On the back is a securely attached steel pinback.
All handbeading done with 6lb FireLine for strength and durability.

This is the funky house across the street from the condo I'm buying, one of the many beautiful old Victorian houses in the neighborhood. Note the demon statue on the crest of the roof. It's part of theHensley National Historic District.
