Sold as doll: (Although I'm not supersure this is her.) Basic body. Brunette, blonde or auburn. The outfit and shoes are correct anyway.

The thunder rolled and she could smell the rain in the wind. "Better hurry inside", she thought.
I made an effort to not take lots of portrait pictures last week here's the only one I did.
Wearing my favourite lipstick 💋💖xx
*Sigh!* Now I've done it... I ruined a rare Sindy's hair...
First a little information about the girl in question.
'Funtime' Sindy has a head made from very hard vinyl and is marked 033050X. The quality of her hair is fragile and she was made in blond only. She has a slimmer body compared to previous years but is still marked O.D. MADE IN HONG KONG and 033126X on the shoulders and 033127X on her bottom. The limbs are from very hard vinyl but the legs have a wire inside and can pose.

She had shoulder length frizzy hair when I got her. (scroll up and see how short it is now) So I decided to give the edges a little perm. I used hot water from the tap, just like I normally do when the hair is unfamiliar to me.
Nothing happened. It was straight and stood out like an umbrella from her head.
I rolled it upp a little tighter this time. All the way up in fact. I boiled some water and dipped her in.....
BrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrK!!!!!!!!
The hair shrunk in an instant and glued itself to her head like a helmet, only the rollers stopped it from disappearing entirely I think. I rinsed her quickly in cold water and bent up the hair to remove the rollers.
After drying my tears, I tried to brush it out. This is what remains. It's shorter in the back.

So to all of you who longs to boil your dolls. Don't.

“You look like Angelina Jolie” – I said jokingly just a minute into our chat—some playful remarks, a bit of fun, passion, excitement, and the promise of an adventure – that makes up for the next episode of this series. I remember when I embarked on my own journey – my very first encounter with a stranger who happened to be a fashion model. It was a serendipitous introduction by a friend who, coincidentally, was there on assignment as a photographer. That rendezvous feels like a distant memory now, almost a decade ago.
In the years that followed, I crossed paths with countless individuals, some dreaming of modeling, others showing extraordinary potential for the industry. Then there was this one person I met over a year ago, a fashion school alumna. Surprisingly, despite her training, she never took the plunge. So you can imagine my delight today, stumbling upon someone brimming with both passion and determination, finally ready to seize the opportunity.
Just a few days ago, as she was wandering through the city streets, when fate intervened, caught the eye of a business promoter who offered her a modeling gig for a clothing brand. She dives in headfirst, and to her surprise, discovers a newfound confidence in front of the camera. It's like she's found her calling. And here's the kicker—she's an electrician by trade, proof that passion knows no bounds and when that fiery passion ignites within, it's a sign to follow wherever it leads.

They brought out the big guns in 1986 and made FOUR Funtime Sindys in one sweep instead of the usual, occasional singel doll.
The box art differs somewhat to the real thing. (See the next photo of the Sindy out of the box) They were all sold with high heels matching their outfit, not sandals. You see she has multicoloured hearts on her belt on the promo pic but, just red hearts IRL.
The bodies: I have seen both the bendable knee kind, showed on the box, and the stiff legged kind, like this Sindy has.
right eye retouch by Lyna J Grey.
I bought this doll about 3 years ago and always complained about her right eye being bad-painted! finally my friend lyna fixed the problem so now I'm happy to look at this doll! so cute ^_^
Pedigree decided to make an "affordable" basic Sindy each year. They called her 'Funtime' and she was sold as blond only.
This years Sindy is staring to look more like we know her from the rest of the 70s and 80s. They shrunk her body and legs drastically and collectors are therefore calling this 'Funtime' for "skinny leg" Sindy.
She is marked O.D. MADE IN HONG KONG and 033126X on the shoulders and 033127X on her bottom. The legs do bend with a wire inside, but the vinyl is super hard and needs to be heated before bending.
Her head is also very hard and marked 033050X.
She was sold wearing only the swimsuit from last year, white trendy shoes and a blue headband.
After just collecting the mid-late 70’s/early 80’s babes, my first early-ish 70s Sindy has arrived!!!! 😀(And I couldn’t wait to show her to you, so please excuse the flash photography as I’m often only home at night nowadays.) She's the 1974 Funtime Sindy and interestingly, has exactly the same hard-limbed, slightly bow-legged body as my 1976 June, which makes me suspect that they used up the old Funtime bodies on June, when Funtime moved to the click-click bendable leg version! She has the old texture (pre-saran) hair, but it is still in its perfect original curly set (which is super rare, as that type of hair is usually always found very frizzy and matted... so I was very lucky there!!! 😀) She has the ‘new’ slimmer body but is still marked O.D. MADE IN HONG KONG and 033126X on the shoulders and 033127X on her bottom. Her head is made from very hard vinyl and is marked 033050X, and has that beautiful high colour face of the mid 70’s dolls and the older, more child-like arms and hands. I read on some websites that her legs have a wire in them and that they should bend, but I couldn’t bend this gal’s legs. Since I don’t have her original outfit yet (see the small pic at bottom-left,) I put her in the 1975 Funtime swimsuit my collecting BFF gave me and the white daisy sandals. I LOVE her!!! Do you think I should put her in the 'Aquamarine' dress I just got and that some of you have already seen in a recent pic, or ‘Jumper n’ Jeans’ from 1975? I definitely need some 1974 fashions for her! 😜
Debbie:- This is Funtime Skooter from 1976! A very rare and sought after doll... (I just got Funtime Skipper, but would LOVE her friend here!!!) Her face is very similar to your QC Skipper's. Probably just needs a light freshening up with her makeup and with that re-root and it will look just like her, I think!
Pedigree decided to make an "affordable" basic Sindy each year. They called her 'Funtime' and she was sold as blond only.
She is very similar to 'Trendygirl' (1971) but doesn't have the twist waist. Her body is marked O.D. MADE IN HONG KONG and her head is marked 033055X. She has bendable legs with a wire inside.
Her arms should be shorter and somewhat more doll like, but they didn't have any hands, so I had to do an armtransplant.
She was sold wearing this magnificent swimsuit with a dainty little wraparound skirt and white trendy shoes.
We have been enjoying staying up later and taking longer baths. Summer time helps you soak up all the simple things in life.
Skipperdoodle is a TNT skipper I received last year. Her hair is in it's original set although the elastics were crumbling (I replaced them with thread). She is wearing GUAG #9747 from 1976, a gift from the ever beautiful Elaine. Skipperdoodle is accompanied by her pet Smigglesmore, a pipe cleaner creature made by my partner.
This girl is my 3rd Skipper, the other two are pose 'n play skipper and straight leg skipper (another gift from Elaine). There are only a few skippers that I actually like and I hope to obtain them all one day. The others are Malibu, Funtime, growing up, and great shape.
Pedigree decided to make an "affordable" basic doll each year. They called her 'Funtime' Sindy.
This year she was sold with the "new" type of basic body only. She was given a cute short hairstyle that brings ones thoughts back to the very first 'Weekender' Sindy from 1963. Available in different shades of blond and auburn. Her head is hard and marked 033055X.
Pedigree dropped the swimsuit theme and went for a simple, cute cotton dress instead and the newly styled white shoes.

Some of you might recognize her as Mrs. Winterbottom, and those of you who doesn't, might get reeled in by that wave of her hand and before you know it...
... you're sitting in her drawing room with a cup of tea, a stale biscuit and telling her all gossip there is to know in your neighborhood.
Thank you love!!!
I had an amazing time there!
Can't wait for the next one LindaBoo <3

“Hey, there’s Funtime Sindy! Isn’t she a little overdressed for a barbecue?” Whatever… The other Sindys in their casual ‘Mix N’ Match’ fashions don’t mind! My 1974 Funtime Sindy is in another outfit I had always wanted; - ‘Disco Party’ from 1971/1972. I usually don’t like all-pink outfits but this is so out-there and ‘Mod’ that I couldn’t resist! LOVE the textured ribbed brushed nylon stripe of the fabric (I read on the oursindymuseum website that there are several variations of this fabric) and I also love the glamorous cut of that jumpsuit with its super-wide Palazzo pants that are so wide that they fall like a beautiful full skirt! I also love that matching brushed nylon pink shoulder bag on the gold chain. And just to take the ‘disco’ vibe a little further, I thought I would add the very YSL-inspired pink furry ‘chubby’ jacket from the first 1977 ‘Mix N’ Match’ range that is a perfect match for this outfit IMO, even though it arrived on the Sindy scene around six years later. I usually don’t like mixing different years in one outfit, but sometimes it’s a creative and fun way to style things!!
Pedigree decided to make an "affordable" basic Sindy each year. They called her 'Funtime' and she was sold as blond only.
One can find her with two different types of basic bodies. Either this one, that will become the standard, or the previous year 'Funtime' body.
Her head is rather hard and marked 033055X. She were given a new type of hair that is easier to style too.
She was sold wearing this turquoise swimsuit and white trendy shoes, NOT white daisy sandals as advertised.

My eyesight (and memory apparently) isn't what it used to be, I get so surprised every time I see her up close and notice the re-painted lashes on her right eye.
Needles to say, I didn't do it myself.
