Pedigree decided to make an "affordable" basic doll each year, starting in 1973. They called her 'Funtime' Sindy.
The 1984 model had a lovely 'housewife' sort of dress and white sandals. She was available in blond, brunette and auburn.

Me: Where are you off to in such a hurry?
Sindy: Oh, I thought we were done. I just made scones and was about to eat them when you called and asked me over.
Me: Ah! Do forgive me for trespassing on your scones time!
Sindy: Not at all! Why don't you tag along? I'll put the kettle on.
Me: Don't mind if I do.... Er, you didn't forget to lock the door before you left I hope?
Sindy: No, why?
Me: Well, we've had a few break-ins lately.. by little uns..
Sindy: Good heavens! The little Blythes!
We hurried out.
The box art differs somewhat to the real thing. (See the previous photo of the box)
The bodies: I have seen both the bendable knee kind, showed on the box, and the stiff legged kind, like this Sindy has.
All of them had neat ponytails with a white ribbon.
When the cat's away the mice will play...but nothing last forever.

A closer look at Sindy’s kitchen, featuring two of my Funtimes; - My 1976 short-haired Miss in a ‘Mix N’ Match’ outfit from 1978 (seated) and my 1979 ‘Bunches’ Miss in the 1976 ‘Mego’ version of Cook In. (I actually just wanted to shoot this as I finally got her to hold that damn casserole dish in her oven mitts!!! LOL... Also check out those cool 1977 Scenesetter kitchen stools! Once I put them in there, I realised that they actually coordinate with her pots and pans!! Pedigree thought of everything! :P )
Local people of Nainital at morning time (near about 7:30 am). Rowing boat is like their morning exercise. Sometimes they use to throw the oar in the water and then jump & swim in the lake to get it just for fun.
Fleq, Flawn, Torso, 45rpm and 3Dom payed my new studio space a visit last thursday and we painted a production downstairs.

The Magic Kingdom Orlando with magical Susan 2009. We were driving from Key West Florida to Virginia Beach in Virginia and decided to have a two night stopover in Orlando

*Sigh!* Now I've done it... I ruined a rare Sindy's hair...
First a little information about the girl in question.
'Funtime' Sindy has a head made from very hard vinyl and is marked 033050X. The quality of her hair is fragile and she was made in blond only. She has a slimmer body compared to previous years but is still marked O.D. MADE IN HONG KONG and 033126X on the shoulders and 033127X on her bottom. The limbs are from very hard vinyl but the legs have a wire inside and can pose.

She had shoulder length frizzy hair when I got her. (scroll up and see how short it is now) So I decided to give the edges a little perm. I used hot water from the tap, just like I normally do when the hair is unfamiliar to me.
Nothing happened. It was straight and stood out like an umbrella from her head.
I rolled it upp a little tighter this time. All the way up in fact. I boiled some water and dipped her in.....
BrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrK!!!!!!!!
The hair shrunk in an instant and glued itself to her head like a helmet, only the rollers stopped it from disappearing entirely I think. I rinsed her quickly in cold water and bent up the hair to remove the rollers.
After drying my tears, I tried to brush it out. This is what remains. It's shorter in the back.
