Summer is in full swing now. The kids are loving the weather. The hotter -the better, when you live on a lake. The lake water feels like bath water so when you get out you don't even need a towel. We had a lot of fun this weekend. Did a lot of swimming, sunning, drinking, talking, playing and just hanging with the neighbors. Bring on the sun!

When you live in Kansas, you don't get many opportunities at the beach to practice your sand sculpting skills. These were just a few scenes photographed at the Shawnee Mission Sand Volleyball courts, a fund-raiser for the Sunflower House, a child abuse prevention center serving residents in Wyandotte and Johnson counties in Kansas.
