Who are all these people on my front lawn?
We went to the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina today. Between being really sick and the fact that it was unbelievable cold...I took very few photos. We were give season passes as a Christmas gift and plan to return in the spring when the gardens are in bloom.
Nono Juara Matematika Dunia - BERLIAN MASA DEPAN BANGSA
Namanya panjang, Caesar Archangels Hendrik Meo Tnunay. Namun akrab dengan sapaan Nono. Siswa kelas 2 SD asal Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Ada sesuatu yang hebat pada anak ini, Nono berhasil menyabet juara 1 lomba matematika dunia di ajang International Abacus World Competition 2022.
Ia mengungguli 7.000 Peserta lainnya dari seluruh dunia. Bukan hanya keluarga, sekolah atau NTT yang bangga, tapi negeri ini, Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia pun turut bangga. Selain itu, Nono merupakan anak pertama dalam sejarah Indonesia yang berhasil menjuarai kompetisi tersebut sejak terselenggara pada 2003.
Pada kompetisi tersebut, Nono berhasil menyelesaikan 15.201 files. Setiap file mengandung 10 soal, sehingga total soal yang mampu terselesaikan oleh Nono adalah 152.010 soal yang terujikan dalam bentuk virtual dan listen(ing) dalam Bahasa Inggris. Posisi ke dua dan ke tiga yang menempati peserta dari Qatar dan USA hanya mampu mengerjakan setengah dari soal yang Nono kerjakan.
Berlian muda bangsa hadir di NTT. Berlian yang akan ikut mencemerlangkan bangsa ini di masa depan. Nono layak kita jaga, kita dukung, dan perlu gosokan secemerlang mungkin. Prestasi spektakuler seperti inilah yang lebih dari layak untuk kita angkat, agar memotivasi jutaaan anak Indonesia lainnya untuk meraih kecemerlangan dirinya. Jangan hanya mengangkat kecengengan komersil, sensasi vulgar, yang miskin makna.

so i just got home from camp yesterday and i really didnt know what to upload. TOMORROWS MY BIRTHDAY! :D happy 17th birthday to meee! :) oh, and i got a new camera :) actually its an old camera, but its new to me! and i absolutely love it! im gonna upload a picture of it a little later in the week because im leaving again for work for the week again tomorrow. Matthias church in Budapest, Magyaroszág is unique for many reasons. The first is the most obvious feature of it: it's beautiful orange and blue tiled roof. I have never seen a church with such a mosaic and such a colorful roof. The second is that the official name of this building is the Church of the Assumption. According to the Catholic religion, a church cannot have the name that is not named after a saint or holy event or object. Matthias was not a saint as deemed by the Catholic church but instead a Hungarian king. However, to Hungarians and tourists alike, this building is still called Matthias Church. It sits behind Fisherman's Bastion. Tourists can check both off of their lists with one trip up the hill on the Buda side of the city.
