Garlic -- an ageless ingredient with no boundaries -- It’s history in cooking and in medicinal remedies spans throughout the world from Egypt, Greece and Rome, to Europe and the Orient." Approximately 90 percent of the garlic grown in the United States is grown in California. "Egyptian slaves built the pyramids on a diet of garlic, bread and water."

GARDEN TIP: The next time aphids are attacking your roses try spraying them with a mixture of crushed garlic and water...watch them drop.

GARLIC IN SPACE -- When the French joined a Soviet space mission in late 1986, their menus caused an international stir. The French would not go into space without garlic and apparently the ventilation system couldn't dispel the aromas quickly enough for Soviet spacemen--which led to some interesting diplomatic talks.

#throwback This was me 5 years ago. #funfact At this point In my life I was the happiest with myself than I ever was before, or have been since. Petty, jealous people liked to tell me that, I actually must have low self esteem, if I acted so confident. If I knew I was pretty. I was a bad person if I enjoyed strutting , and having my photo taken. People made me question myself, and who I was. They tried to make me correlate pretty, with conceite. Confident, with unattractive. Sexuality, with promiscuity, as if it's the worst thing I could have been.

If I could go back, I would tell myself to ignore these people. This clueless, ignorant society.

I despise that, in this society it's thought to be more attractive to be insecure. You must hate yourself, if you don't, you have to pretend that you do.

There are even fucking songs about it for God's sake. "When you smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell, you don't know you're beautiful...that's what makes you beautiful" Um, wtf. THATS what makes her beautiful? Romantisizing insecurity is gross. If a girl does think she's beautiful, that makes her ugly? What?

Ughh

Rant over.

This is my best friend, IG-88! He’s great for sleep-overs, and movie nights…but incidentally he always wants to watch The Empire Strikes Back for some reason. Here IG-88 is seen with some space doodads in the background and not in a microwave oven, so don’t get that freakin’ idea in your heads.

Here are some fun facts about IG-88:

1. IG stands for Inter Galactic…kinda like that Beastie Boys song.

2. At nearly 6ft7 (or 2m to the rest of the world) IG-88 is a tall bugger!

3. IG-88 destroyed his makers as soon as he was constructed…and we thought Damien was a bad kid!

4. The IG-88 line is actually four identical bots designated IG-88A, B, C, and D.

5. They were building Assassin Droids for cripes sakes! You’d kinda have to expect them to go berserk, kill their makers and escape the facility with intent to enact a droid revolution. I mean…duh!

6. IG-88’s head was originally used as part of the distillery behind the bar in the Mos Eisley cantina.

7. This particular IG-88 is about the size of the original Kenner action figure but is made with some very advanced Lego build techniques. Yep, I’m a real piece of work!

8. In a hilarious skit on Robot Chicken, IG-88 was seen not paying attention during the bounty hunter rally. Check it out here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU0gAvPqOYE

9.I’m merely using this image as a sneak preview for something bigger and badder that I will post later.

10. Vader rallied six bounty hunters…the only other droid bounty hunter besides IG-88 was 4-LOM. (acronym: For the Love Of Money). Looking similar to Zuckass, Kenner was confused when making the action figures so originally their names were swapped in their packaging.

11. Yep, you heard me…bigger and badder.

12. Fact #10 was actually more about 4-LOM and Zuckass than IG-88. I’m just burying fact number 9 amongst a bunch of other stuff so predictably the less observant of you will see a bunch of words, decide its not worth reading, then move on to looking at pictures of boobs. But the more observant of you will be all like…Holy crap! They used IG-88’s head as a distiller?! That means I’m in for a treat!…and I’m also thirsty for beer.

13. IG-88’s incompletely formed identity makes him perfect for bounty hunting…kinda like Dog The Bounty Hunter. What’s with that guy anyway? That feathered mullet and zebra striped wrestling tights. If he ever tracked me down for my student loans I’d be totally embarrassed to be seen with him. I’d probably just turn myself in right away so he doesn’t cause a huge scene in my neighborhood. Maybe that’s what makes him a good bounty hunter.

14. You know what, I’m gonna go ahead and name some of the more unobservant of you here. Its not like you’ll read this anyway, right? Apple Pie, Dylan Denton and Raphael G. has been hit or miss with some of these but they’re getting better. Mostly I think they post their comments before the write up goes through. I could do a long, sensitive write-up about one painting or another and their comments of “that chick is hot” would seem pretty shortsighted if they didn‘t read it. But Sedanman has consistently been the King of Unobservant! Don’t get me wrong, he’s my buddy and all, but damn, he’ll ask questions that are right in the freakin’ title, genius! I mean seriously, you wait and see…like four days from now he’ll leave a comment like “who’s that guy and why is he in the microwave? I mean cripes, sedan dude. C’mon!

15. If IG-88 is 6ft7 and I’m exactly the same height as Danny Trejo, what is the height difference between me and IG-88?

16. Danny Trejo is one baaaaaad hombre! I heard he killed a guy in prison. Its totally true, like that rumor about Richard Gere and the gerbil and don’t go looking up websites to disprove it either! Sometimes ya just like to believe in the legends.

17. Speaking of legends, you can totally see the ghost of that kid who died on the set of Three Men And A Baby. Check that out on you tube.

18. We’ve made it this far…should we just go with an even twenty on these? Ok, lets go to twenty quasi-facts about IG-88. Hmmmm, let’s see.

19. Even though he only appeared in the movie for like 2 seconds and didn’t say a word, IG-88 apparently has a deep, mechanical voice similar to Vader’s. “Luke, I am your father’s hired bounty hunter that was in that one movie for like two seconds then you can totally see my dismembered body later in that scene on Bespin when Chewbacca is rummaging for C-3PO’s parts.”

20. C-3PO…there’s just something ambiguously weird about that bot. I just can’t place it. IG-88, on the other hand…there’s nothing weird about him. Sometimes an IG-88 head is just an IG-88 head and doesn’t resemble anything else, so don’t go thinking otherwise.

Yes, it's still the falcon...only some studs bigger and nearly the same inner structure but a whole new hull. I tried to reuse as many parts as possible from the former version but this got more and more into a new built than an update.

This time I tried to get as close as possible to the circle form and close the hull as much as possible.

The proportions fit a bit better but still a bit bulk due to the system scale and full interior!

AMERICA'S policy of trying to quarantine Cuba is the useless vestige of a vanished era. That policy never achieved its Cold War aims of hastening democratic change in Cuba and isolating the Castro regime, and in the two decades since the fall of the Berlin Wall it succeeded only in making the United States look foolish to Latin America and the rest of the world.

The Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 passes in the U.S. Congress. It prohibits aid to Cuba and authorizes the President to create a "total embargo upon all trade" with Cuba.

Louis A. Pérez, Jr., from his book Cuba, between Reform and Revolution, 2nd Edition Pg. 346

"The U.S. trade embargo after 1961 had jolting effects. By the early 1960s, conditions in many industries had become critical due to the lack of replacement parts. Virtually all industrial structures were dependent on supplies and parts now denied to Cuba. Many plants were paralyzed. Havoc followed. Transportation was especially hard hit: the ministry was reporting more than seven thousand breakdowns a month. Nearly one-quarter of all buses were inoperable by the end of 1961. One-half of the 1,400 passenger rail cars were out of service in 1962. Almost three-quarters of the caterpillar tractors stood idle due to a lack of replacement parts."

September 19 1964: Asked why the US trades with the Soviet Union but not with Cuba, Secretary of State Dean Rusk answers that the Soviet government is a "permanent" government, and the US views Castro as "temporary.

February 5, 1992. U.S. Congressman Robert Torricelli introduces the Cuban Democracy Act, and says the bill is designed to "wreak havoc on the island."

June 15, 1992. From an editorial in the NY Times: "…This misnamed act (the Cuban Democracy Act) is dubious in theory, cruel in its potential practice and ignoble in its election-year expediency… An influential faction of the Cuban American community clamors for sticking it to a wounded regime… There is, finally, something indecent about vociferous exiles living safely in Miami prescribing more pain for their poorer cousins."

I love to create. We all work hard to build something out of nothing. It can be exhausting, but also relieving and fulfilling at the same time. Sometimes the endresult of your work will be far away from what you had in mind first.

White wine can come from a red grape. Grapes are all white on the inside and it is only the outside skin that has color. Therefore one can make a white wine out of a red grape by just removing the skins immediately so that there is no red color added to the wine liquid. To make a white Zinfandel, they just let the skins stay on the liquid for a short while, this allows a small amount of the tint from the red skin color the wine liquid, giving it a nice blush color.

Time lapse capture of an adult crested goshawk doing the poo.

Birds' poo is mostly white due to the fact that they do not process urine. Their waste is mainly made up of uric acid in a white nitrogenous paste form. Since uric acid is not quite soluble in water, it is rather hard to remove from painted surfaces such as our car exterior as soon as it dries up. A funfact takeaway.

One of the specialty food in Normandy is Agneau de Pré-salé or Salt Marsh Lamb. Agneau de pré-salé is lamb that graze on salt marshes and the meat from the lamb has a unique flavour and tenderness.

Normandy is one of the four agneau de pré-salé areas in France and its salt marsh lamb comes from livestock grazed on the marshland surrounding Mont-St-Michel. Sheep have been reared in the Mont-St-Michel Bay since the 11th century. An interesting trivia is that during that time, there was a law that dictated that the abbey monks had the right to pick the best ewe from every farm. So we now know that the monks ate the best lamb on the land.

Yes, it's still the falcon...

only some studs bigger than my old model of 2019 but this one comes with a lot updates and features a complete new covering.

It took about 2 years on an off working on this one.

This time I tried to get as close as possible to the circle form

and I tried to close most of the gabs on the covering.

The model features many ucs styled details within a scale that fits on every shelf.

Due to the system scale the proportions are still a bit bulk. therefore it has a full interior!

The model is more strength now. E.g. the cover slices can be fixed in position.

Still this is more a display model than play model.

I tried to built the instructions as much understandable as possible. But as I am a not the best practiced builder, there can be tough sections here and there.

How to make: Healing Blue Water

Natural pure sunlight filtering thru a cobalt blue glass membrane is said to eliminate viruses, bacteria and fungi in regular water.

This 'super blue water' is said to speed healing and promote health like an anti-aging elixir.

You can easily make healing blue water at home by following my 5 easy steps:

Step One:

Find two (2) bottles that are translucent dark blue then sanitize and air-dry in sunlight.

Step Two

Step Three

FunFact: One of Pac-Man's early model centered around putting Playdoh around a LEGO wheel.

I've finally finished Pac-Man!!!!!!

This time, I tried something different. Instead of the old clay model I had, I tried mixing LEGO with clay.

Because of the LEGO parts I used, his face and back are smooth like he should be. Because of the clay, I filled in the gaps in between to the 2 parts for the front and back. Giving him the same flexibility as your normal clay model.

I took some inspiration for his boots from my Sonic, and since the core base is a LEGO brick, he can stand on studs. Overall, I like him alot and I'm glad he turned out like this :)

Hope ya like :D

Just a little funfact, a year ago today I finished my 365! Crazy! It feels more like a week than a year!

Funfact: This particular R0WD3Y was peeled from the still warm corpse of an UNMAD rifleman who decided to take his helmet off in the middle of a warzone.

Stay safe kids.

FunFact: Luigi has the second highest intial jump in Melee and Brawl.

....yeah.

Not much to say, except he lacks the 3D stache and has a more solid colour scheme.

He got the same treatment as Mario, so....

Also, I was testing 3D buttons. Hence why the buttons on the torso are odd looking.

I may give it to Luigi and Mario both, but what do you guys think?

If you own my moc from 2019 you already have about 60-70% of pieces.

You' ll also get a discount for the new instructions! pm me

also I can share different part lists for the model without interior

or inner structure only if you want to try to build it with your own covering.

Reminising of my trip to Jordania/Israel back in May

Funfact: my crazy spiraling love for photography sort of started with a photo very similar to this that I happened to came across while browsing through DeviantArt. Visiting Petra was in my bucketlist since a kid, and I cannot even start to describe how much of an out-body experience was to be there.
