When King Fouad and his family fled Egypt during the revolution in the 1950s, this was the last place he was held - his palace in Alexandria. The eagle was the royal seal (and now the country's seal). The palace is also covered with F's - which were supposed to be lucky, and were the first initial of generations of the royal family.

Aga Khan Palace

The palace was built by Sultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan III. It is considered to be one of the greatest marvel of India. It has a special place for independence movement. Mahatma Gandhi kept here as a jail inmate with other freedom fighters.
