Hey guys. Sorry I've been absent. I moved. Same town as Megan up there^. :) It's pretty exciting, but things have been hectic. My memory card is still messed up, so I'm just gonna upload my polaroids even if they are scanned badly. And my pro account is gone :( Boo.

Explanation: Uh...there was a random hole in the wall. :D

Everyone at this new school mistakes Megan and I for eachother. Haha. It's weird. Or thinks we're sisters/cousins.

If it's January and if the weather is holding up, chances are you can find me on Barnegat Light looking at the duck show. This red-breasted merganser isn't flying for he heck of it. It cut like a knife through the wind and seconds later small fish was fighting for its life.

Martin and me went on a roadtrip today. Great fun!

Have a wonderful weekend.

'I'm falling, and O oh.. Ouch' are actually following shots. The squirrel really fell down, it has been fighting so hard to stay up there, but it didn't work. It was so funny, I was surprised, I got any shots out of it at all lol

Many thanks for your visits, and lovely comments. I just wanted to make you smile!

Hoffe, dass Ihr mit diesen Bildern genausoviel Spass habt, wie ich es hatte sie zusammen zustellen.

Bitte an diesen Bildern keine Einladungen!!! (Wenn es mich auch normalerweise freut welche zu bekommen) Wuensche Euch ein tolles Wochenende.

"I’m falling“ und „O oh .. Ouch" sind aufeinander folgende Aufnahmen. Das Eichhörnchen wirklich fiel hinunter, es hat schwer dagegen angekämpft, aber doch den Weg nach unten gefunden. Es war so lustig, dass ich überrascht war, überhaupt einige schoene Schnappschüsse zustande gebracht zu haben. lol

Vielen Dank für Ihre Besuche und netten Kommentare. Ich wollte nur, dass Ihr wieder mal lächelt!

FUN in DUBLIN…

A fun shot in the center of Dublin.

Temple Bar is a colourful quarter in the heart of Dublin City which, almost accidentally it could be said, over the years developed a bohemian 'Left Bank' character.

It is a shopping, dining, entertaining and exploring feast for the senses. On a typical Irish morning, Temple Bar wakes up to the smell of steaming espresso, the clatter of kegs of Guinness rolling off delivery trucks, and rainwater running between the cobblestones and setts down to the Liffey( the river that runs through Dublin).

I'M SO SORRY FOR NOT JUMPING, BUT I WAS WEARING A LONG, TIGHT PENCIL-SKIRT...

Paul and I have this agreement, that the 'REAL' photographer is the one who has the original idea. So, when I saw 'the Wall of Fame', Paul had already taken many shots of it, but this was how I saw it, I explained it to Paul and he took it, that makes it my photo... although we have a different 'eye' and artistic temperament and view, we avoid taking the 'same shots' as much as possible.

Wishing you all a great day and thanx for your comments every day, Magda, (*_*)

So what kind of a girl you?

I like to think I am fun girl but my humour can be lost on most as I am soooooo off the wall at times it defies words.

Most of the time I am very sensible and can be up my own backside due to trying to hard to be taken seriously.

Maybe I should let the fun girl out more.

It’s been a busy, but fun few days in the US. The great thing about being here is that we’re surrounded by our favorite things. We’ve seen both of our families over the last few days and we’ve eaten more than our share of favorite foods….with more to be enjoyed in the coming days. In addition to processed foods such as Cheez-its and granola bars we missed simple things like blueberries. These are a few of my favorite things….

well another day another dollar the circle of life continues.

Today to make a change from the norm I decided I would go along to the Wednesday evening dance lessons straight from work.

I have forgotten how hard it is to do makeup in a car,

This was a different venue to my normal class and so a bunch of women got to meet Helen. Have to say this bunch are a far better group who seemed to enjoy my company. The lady who runs the class complimented my dress saying that her friend and her were really liked it :-)

She is fast becoming a friend who's face always lights up when I enter the room she even gave me a big hug when I left tonight.

So all in all a fun evening

Shaded water park and play area on the North West side of Elizabeth Quay.

(Wikipedia).

Elizabeth Quay is a mixed-use development project in the Perth central business district. Encompassing an area located on the north shore of Perth Water near the landmark Swan Bells, the precinct was named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II during her Diamond Jubilee.

The project includes construction of an artificial inlet on what was previously the Esplanade Reserve, and modifications to the surrounding environs including Barrack Square, with the project opening nine sites for potential development. Completed facilities were initially projected to include 1,700 residential apartments, 150,000 square metres (1.6 million square feet) of office space and 39,000 square metres (0.42 million square feet) of retail space.

Planning Minister John Day and Premier Colin Barnett turned the first ground at the Esplanade Reserve on 26 April 2012, and Barnett announced the name "Elizabeth Quay" on 28 May 2012. Construction of the inlet and associated infrastructure were completed in January 2016, ahead of the Perth International Arts Festival and Fringe World. The quay was officially opened on 29 January 2016. Construction of the associated buildings will be completed at varying times thereafter, with the first – The Ritz Carlton Hotel and an adjacent residential tower – opened on 15 November 2019.

Description

The Elizabeth Quay precinct is centred around an artificial inlet that opens to the Swan River at its south. At the eastern side of the mouth of the inlet is an islet, which contains the Florence Hummerston Kiosk (which hosts a hospitality complex), the Bessie Rischbieth statue and a playground, and is connected to the eastern shore by a short bridge and to the western shore by the longer Elizabeth Quay Bridge, a pedestrian and cycling bridge which spans the mouth of the inlet.

On the eastern shore are 24 public short stay moorings for recreational boats, as well as the Meet Our Australian Sailor sculpture on the south-eastern shore near the islet. The eastern side contains a 28-storey Ritz Carlton hotel and an adjacent residential tower, as well as two smaller buildings containing food and beverage outlets. The north shore, designated "The Landing", features the sculpture Spanda at its centre, with a carousel immediately west of the public artwork. Directly north of The Landing, across Geoffrey Bolton Avenue which bisects the area from west to east, is the 19-storey Nine The Esplanade office tower development (scheduled for completion in 2025), with the 29-storey Australian headquarters of Chevron Corporation located in the north-east of the precinct. To the north-west, adjacent to the Nine The Esplanade development, is an empty lot yet to be developed as of February 2025; this lot has been slated for the future 56-storey Fifteen The Esplanade mixed-use development.

The western shore features the Elizabeth Quay Jetty for Transperth ferry services to South Perth as well as commercial moorings. To the north-west is a shaded water park and play area and a building containing public toilets and a food and beverage outlet, with the mixed-use EQ West development consisting of two towers (52-storeys and 25-storeys, under construction as of February 2025) taking up the rest of the precinct to its west and south-west. The art piece First Contact stands on the south-west shore, near the western entry to the Elizabeth Quay Bridge.

Trying to get out of my box... Happy week!

1 Bishops Square, London, England

I really can't wait for Open House London, its one of the photographing highlights of the year for me and I always enjoy looking at new buildings.

This is a photo from one such building, 1 Bishops Square. Its art installation is pretty amazing and well worth a visit if your doing Open House this year and if its in this years program.

I have pre-ordered my guide ready for delivery in August, should be interesting to see whats in there. I think some Cross Rail stations might be one of the main locations this year although not 100% sure, suppose I have to just wait and see.

Location Information

Bishops Square is a large commercial property development in the Spitalfields area of London, England. Previously owned by Hammerson, and later jointly by Hammerson and the Oman Investment Fund, it is now owned by JP Morgan. It has been cited as an example of a privately owned public space in London.
