Getting the light right for this photo was difficult because of shooting against the low winter sun, plus the shadow, plus the very dark/very light livery.
But never mind that, what a super coach!

Originally supplied to Robinson, Great Harwood.
Yet another coach apparently rebuilt from half-cab configuration, this time by Plaxton. The driving position looks to be very high.

I'm always impressed when I see this vehicle.
It is a 1950 AEC Regal III with Harrington bodywork which was new to Soudley Valley, staying with them for 30 years. In 1980 it was sold to its present owner.

Though this Tesla is considered the car of the future, it is still viable to rock chips. The full front was carefully wrapped in clear bra. The next items to be wrapped were the full four doors. This coverage will help protect against damage that often occurs when you aren't around - in parking lots. The rear quarter and bumper deck also had clear bra installed onto their surfaces. To help protect the inside, the owner chose Llumar CTX film to be installed on the side and rear windows.

Back in the mid 1970's and the discovery that the 'Fleet News' section of Buses Magazine was more interesting than school textbooks, a whole new world began to demand exploring. Once fired with enthusiasm, the ability to enjoy limited travel and photography there was no keeping a keen teenage enthusiast down.
My first visit to Southport with a camera in 1976 (and no real knowledge of how to use it properly!) brought me into this amazing place. This former CLC Lord Street railway station train shed was then used as by Ribble as a bus station and I think, garage. For me, it was perhaps the most grand bus station I'd then seen, and to find these full fronted MCW bodied Leyland Titan PD3s in residence was a real bonus.

4057 JW is a former Woplverhampton Corporation Guy Arab, with full fronted bodywork built locally by MCCW. This bus had originally been No57 in the Wolverhampton Corporation Fleet, passing to WMPTE in October 1969, the WMPTE fleetnumber being derived by adding the last letter of the originating municipality, ie. N = Wolverhapton, Y=Coventry etc. 57N and 48N were the last full-fronted Guy Arabs to operate for The PTE, both being withdrawn duriong 1976.
