New to Trent Motor Traction (792) during May-1948 , with a conventional Willowbrook B35F body . Rebuilt and the chassis extended by Willowbrook as hereon in 1958 . Joining this Operator in October-1963 .

New to Bristol Omnibus Company ( 2819 ) during July-1952 . Acquired by this Company in September-1991.

In a rather unkept and unloved state OHY991 is in the Bus Parking area at Scunthorpe Steel Works , Lincolnshire .

Sunday afternoon 01st-April-1971.

On my first visit to the Forest of Dean operators in the late 1960s this fine coach , was still a licenced PSV . Used on School runs and Private Hire .

It was new to this operator in June-1950.

Bilston Street yard, Wolverhampton, 20th March 1976 sees an array of, largely withdrawn former Wolverhampton Guy arabs with three of the full fronted MCW bodied variety prominent.

If my memory serves me correct , this operator had a Leyland Panther - Plaxton Coach , either brand new of second hand in the early 1970s.

It always seemed to be a standing rule that a tour around the showman's vehicles at Hampton Court Fair would reveal a couple of superannuated buses eking out their final years as living accommodation, vans or even food outlets. Many seemed to have survived for a remarkably long time in that service. Yet after 1967 I never recorded another one at that venue. Was that a reflection of an improvement in the showmens' standard of living, in that they could afford purpose-built vehicles; or did buses become less suitable for their needs?

One of the rare occasions when I was ready with my camera when something unusual turned up. I was on an official visit to Eastbourne Corporation - I think that's the garage in the background - and we were waiting for them to bring out some of their more interesting fleet members to be photographed when this came roaring around the corner.
