Montreux’s lake view unfolds like a living postcard — calm blue waters stretching toward the towering Alps, their snow-lined ridges glowing in the soft Swiss light. The gentle curve of the Riviera, dotted with vineyards and hillside cottages, meets the dramatic rise of the Dents du Midi, creating a perfect harmony of serenity and grandeur. It is a landscape where the lake breathes quietly, the mountains stand timeless, and every moment feels touched by beauty.
The last night of our Switzerland trip was spent in Alstadt, Zurich's historical center of a cool mix of old and new.
The Limmat River runs right through the city center, divides the old town into two sections, but with a series of bridges, it’s easy to crisscross back and forth.
The buildings are a mix of architectural styles, predominantly medieval and historical, with a variety of colors and rooflines. The facades of the structures are mostly light-brown, cream, and tan tones.
The steeple you see here belongs to the church of Fraumünster. This church is famous for the stained-glass windows that were designed by Marc Chagall in 1970.
It's definitely a perfect place for a leisurely stroll!
