Fujiyama rail track .

At first glance, this cannot be the Krumme Lanke in Berlin. Mountains, where are there mountains in Berlin? In the neighbouring district of Wilmersdorf there is the Teufelsberg 120,1 mtr. and in Köpenik the Großer Müggelberg 114,7 mtr. The mountain you see here is the Fujiyama 3776,24 m high.

While editing in Luminar I landed at Al Angneted Sky on object selection and was very surprised what happened to my photo when I clicked on Montains 4. My lake suddenly had Fujiama in the background. A nice gimmick.

Dear friends, I wish you a merry Sunday, stay alert and stay healthy, I send my best wishes to you and your loved ones.

at Fuji city in Shizuoka pref.

We had been warned not to expect good views of Mount Fujiyama as there was quite a bit of cloud cover in the first half of the day. Views of the mountain were disappointing, but the cloud lifted in the afternoon and I managed to get this shot from the roadside as we approached the mountain. As you can see, it has a good cover of snow, so I should have been satisfied with this shot (as indeed I am). But what happened in the following shots meant that I forgot about this shot because it was taken with a different camera from the shots that come next in this photo stream.

We had been warned not to expect good views of Mount Fujiyama and were naturally excited when we managed brief glimpses of the sacred mountain as we drove to Lake Ashinoko where we stayed the night.

After checking in at our hotel I stepped onto my balcony and this was what I saw. Delerious with excitement, I set my camera to work as though the mountain may mysteriously vanish. It didn't, and still I took photos.

Mount Fuji on Honshu Island, is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft). It is an active stratovolcano that last erupted in 1707–1708. Mount Fuji is famed for its exceptionally symmetrical cone, which is snow-capped for about 5 months of the year. In the afternoon light the cone appeared not to have a snow cap, but it is there if one looks closely. I only discovered the exciting truth when I looked at a shot taken from the roadside earlier in the afternoon, and which precedes this photo in the photo stream.

Explore sept 20,2011. Best rank # 243.

I’ve been hunting for a waterfall I know is around this area but it’s not on google maps. I haven’t found it yet but along the way, this little stream was still quite pretty.

The Fujiyama building in Pripyat, given it's nickname due to the different design to otheer 16 storey buildings there. Also known as "Mount Fujiyama" as it gives a great view across the city with the Chernobyl Nuclear Powerplant in the distance.

Fuji-san or Fujiyama or Mt. Fuji from Lake Kawaguchiko.

The last frame of the best afternoon/evening by the lake... While some cloud in the middle of the day would have provided some interest in the sky, the golden hour colours made up for it.

This wasn't the last fame taken but by now we were having to walk really fast back to the other side of the lake and the bus station. The later frames had still more colour but the foregrounds were way less interesting.

Hope you've liked this collection - but it was an interesting exercise to see how each frame could be made different with just three elements - sky, volcano and lake.
