18th December 2012 - Panavia Tornado GR4 'ZA402' taxis up the active at Bae systems facilty in Warton, Lancashire. ready for a long and arduous tanker trial with one of the new Airbus A330 MRTT aircraft.

This particular 'Tonka' ( a long time trials aircraft for Bae Systems) was reduced to spares at RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire to help keep the rest of the GR4 fleet flying until the F35 comes into service around 2020,

I was fortunate enough to be at Leeming for an international excersise when she flew in for the last time...

Hiding under a thick layer of dust and grime in an old shed is this abandoned De Soto. I crawled over and around various things to get close enough to capture the driver side tail light and gas port.

Thanks to 1Z10 member Chris Rich for bringing to my attention this event.

50021 was working a demonstration freight for the day comprised of 6 TTA aviation fuel tanks and a guards van for paying guests to experiance the thrill of riding a freight train.

Rodney looked and sounded spectacular and made a fine sight at the head of the short freight.

Here she is at Lydney Junction waiting to depart with the 1115 to Parkend.

With external fueltanks, a feature rarely seen on German NH90's

Seven is an important. and recurring number in the Bible, culminating in the book of Revelation and its seven letters to seven churches. These seven fuel tanks at the Viva petroleum depot at Pinkenba in Brisbane reminded me of those seven bright shining churches. Odd what occasionally gives one a tap on the shoulder.

This one is for Sliders on Sunday and very appropriate at that!

A 42 stud long, liquid helium tank, belonging to the ubiquitous Octan corporation. These tanks were a common sight around the solar processing plants. They were transported back to Earth by spacecraft over a 100 studs in length.
