La band nasce nel 2008 dall'idea del cantante e frontman dei Kataklysm, l'italo-canadese Maurizio Iacono, e dalla passione per la storia di Roma dovuta alle sue italiche origini.
Nel 2009 viene rilasciato tramite Nuclear Blast Records il primo album, Romulus, dove partecipano come ospiti: Adam "Nergal" Darski, frontman dei polacchi Behemoth, Karl Sanders, frontman degli statunitensi Nile e A.O "Obsidian Claw" Gronbech, fondatore dei norvegesi Keep of Kalessin.
In seguito sono stati reallizzati due video musicali: il primo sulla titletrack Romulus ed il secondo su The Final War (Battle Of Actium).
E' Uscito a fine 2012 il 2° Album Caligvla. Per la realizzazione dell'album è stata richiesta la collaborazione della cantante dei Tristania, l'italiana Mariangela Demurtas.

Courteeners' frontman and songwriter Liam Fray is set to don his graduation gown after the University of Salford decided to award him an Honorary Doctorate of Arts as part of the university's July graduation ceremonies.
Anna Bulbrook on keys and frontman Mikel Jollett mid-song during an incredible set by The Airborne Toxic Event (named after a term in Don DeLillo's novel White Noise) at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. I've been dying to see this band since I first heard their single, "Sometime Around Midnight," while driving back from dinner in LA on a business trip down there in June--it came on a local radio station. The band is out of Los Feliz, and has been touring like mad in support of their first album. The Bottom of the Hill show was sold out...and I suspect it may be the last time they play such a small venue in the area. The full band line-up includes Mike Jollett, Steven Chen on guitar and keys, Daren Taylor on drums, Anna Bulbrook on keys and violin and viola, and Noah Cohen on bass.
