Loved my first ride on a Brompton and wonder why all bikes don't have this option for luggage up front. My backpack was swallowed-up by the Brompton bag.

Block pattern from Ayumi Takahashi's book Patchwork, Please! For the Zakka 2.0 sew along. I only made four blocks; they are slightly enlarged from the pattern. Fabrics, except for sashing, are all Madrona Road by Violet Craft.
The pillow insert is 16" and the sham is 17 inches square. I stitched-in-the-ditch around each book and then added a grid of straight line quilting around the four and a little way into the sashing.

I am originally from Pennsylvania, but this view is not some greenery in Pennsylvania. It is my front yard in Albuquerque, NM. Arborvitaes, Junipers, Alberta Spruce, Wisteria, Spearmint, New Mexico evening primrose and a green lawn help create a somewhat back East impression. The lawn requires quite a bit of water and fertilizer to maintain a bright green appearance. But the other green plants do not require a great deal of water or fertilizer. New Mexico has a lot of greenery in the mountains, but it is a joy to enjoy a green scene in your own yard. As a New Mexico native for over 58 years I have learned to appreciate the arid areas of the state for their ruggedness and sometimes unique colors. In short, green, red and brown persist as my favorite landscape colors,
Gust front associated with storms on the rear end of the same cold front which produced the storm shown in the panoramic view. This storm was much more powerful and, while it did not technically fit the definition of a severe thunderstorm, did produce flash flooding.
I was honored to be invited to photograph the home of the late Leta Mac Stripling before renovation begins. Inside this well-maintained c. 1920s farmhouse are Mrs. Stripling's furnishings and objets d'art, including a set of Currier prints, documents of local historic interest, and many, many books.

Sandy is wearing the upcoming Shapes top (#4) that is a flattering asymmetric top that gets it's shape from the grain it is cut on. The lady to her right is wearing a Plus One Tunic done in rayon jersey with the seams to the right side and color blocked.
Wine bottles at the grocery store. Yellow Tail is supposedly an Australian wine, but I'm curious if any Australians have even heard of it (I'm not a big wine fan, by the way). These ones really stood out because of their bright yellow labels. I thought this scene was kind of funny because of the one bottle that was sitting back behind the others.
