Front of reversible offset log cabin quilt I made for the 2014 Sutter Health Quilt Auction to benefit breast cancer services. Includes my own hand-dyed and printed fabrics as well as commercial fabrics.
You know, sometimes I'm almost a bit baffled about what gets into explore and what not... Well, aren't we all. That donkey is everything but clear, ey. But this picture... it's been sitting in my computer for some time, and I just... didn't care that much about it... And yet, here it goes to Front Page. Woah! And I kinda like it now, :D.
Thank you each and everyone for your words and visits! I'm humbled and happy about the attention my little pic has gotten, :).
Do yourselves a favour tonight, dream of flowering fields, dream of you running through them, in a long white dress... Yes, you guys too, think of it as an old-fashioned pyjamas (and yes, you may add the complementary beanie to the picture if you insist). The birds are singing, the sun is shining and everything is peaceful... Take it in slow motion. Aye? Aye.
I'm humbled. Truly humbled. I mean, here I am, away for practically a month and when I just make a short snibbety-peak into the flickr-world, my photo immediately gets front page-status. It's also slightly embarassing to be honest... And also, it's not fun being favoured by the donkey-code. Really, 'cause it is just a code, and it clearly needs some changing.
Nevertheless, this photo already, in two days time, has the second most views of all my photos. It has the most faves and is in the top five when it comes to comments. AND, Explore #1, my first one ever! Woot! There is no way I could not be pleased, or happy.
So yeah, I am thrilled, :). Thank you every, every, every one.
And, I dedicate this FP to Mr. Brisson. I really don't have a choice, do I... I mean, besides from him having set a price on my head and all, I kind of did diss him, didn't I. But do know, that out of love, the horse too kicks. Ey?
And besides, he's a doll. (Wearing sparkling heels.)
A non-HDR sunset shot of Harbour Front taken with my Flickr friend Mel Mijares on 26.9.09.

front of my food and drink tour of So-Cal. I chose this as a subject because anytime people travel they always want to try out the local favorites
PennLUG train t-shirts.
PennLUG Lines is the name of our LEGO train layout.
Anyway, I'm looking for some opinions on shirt design for PennLUG Lines shirts. The PennLUG Lines diamond logo is based on the Reading RR's logo, and the shirt theme is based on the Reading RR Crusader, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crusader_(train)
Since we have two Crusader models in the club, 1 from Glenn Holland and 1 from Joshua Sanders, we thought it might be a neat idea. The Knight logo is not LEGOized at all, it's just the straight Crusader art work.
What I want to know is, what combination of front and back would look/work best?
Living in 535 sq. feet is a constant battle. As a renter on a shoe-string budget, making major changes to my apartment is pretty much impossible. That being said, living within the constraints of my shoebox in the sky has forged a creativity I didn't know existed.

My proudest achievement and sadly largest project was the white bookcase. I got it for a song at Gothic Cabinet Craft (www.gothiccabinetcraft.com) on 3rd Avenue. The caveat being that it was unpainted, unfinished, and I had to figure out a way to get it home. Even with several coats of white, it retains a rough patina. I love it.
Lamp is from the Moma Store. Large photograph of Bob Dylan was a gift from my mother and is by the supremely talented Barry Feinstein. Pen and ink illustration by Marc McChesney, a good friend and terrific illustrator.
Rather than file off the third, unneeded hole, I decided to use it for mounting the fender stay. A 5mm spacer was used to prevent the mounting tang from contacting the fork blade.
Wow! My first Explore Front Page!
Thank you so much, everyone - what a nice Welcome Back!
And a special Thank You to Madge for inspiring me to take a picture of my backyard weeds. ;-)

Vidalia may be a wonderful model, but Zinnia always wants to be Front and Center. And while Zinnia's a pretty good model in her own right, she just doesn't get the concept of performing for a treat. Zinnia simply wants the treat.

The front of the house is pretty much as designed in the book. I did a stumpwork bunny and carrot and had so much fun, decided to add other personal elements on the other walls.
another from the 4th of July fireworks at Pittsburgh's Point...the confluence of the 3 rivers. This image is a cropped version...look for the note box, this couple is silhouetted as they stood along the walkway rail..damn! Why didn't I think of that??!!
One of my favorite parts of how this design turned out is the greeting everyone gets as they rise to the front porch. One of the main trunks of this black willow rises through the porch deck, and then through the roof above, and reminds anyone about to enter to whom it is they owe a nod of gratitude for this exceptional experience.
The view from the front doorway of a tholtan on the northern flank of North Barrule, above the Albert Tower. If I had a view like this, I wouldn't bother with a door either ......
With the longer lens, it looks like a small bay sweeping round from Ramsey to the Point of Ayre!
A great view of my Front room - which includes a sitting area in front of the fireplace and a dining area. There are also nice, large windows, that let in a lot of light! The green wall color goes around 1/2 off the room and the other 1/2 is a neutral color.
