got some great old bottles and jars recently and a few crates too. I was surprised at how cute this looks on our front porch. My dear friend in Vermont sent me some Swedish Ivy cuttings and they are actually starting to show a tiny bit of roots! Yay! She has one heck of a green thumb. Me...well, I am working on it.

October 10, 2021 - "Front & Fulton is a historic redevelopment of the L. Hoster Brewery into a mixed-use project in the Brewery District of Columbus, Ohio. The area has a history stretching nearly 200 years. It is bounded by Interstate 70 on the north, South Pearl Street on the east, Greenlawn Avenue on the south, and the Scioto River on the west.
In the early 1800s, immigrants settled on pastures and farmlands in the area known as South Columbus. Utilizing their skills as stone masons, brewers, and other trades, these immigrants established a community that would eventually be known as German Village and the Brewery District.
The Project was originally the first brewery, City Brewery, and was opened by German immigrant Louis Hoster in 1836. Over the next three decades, five more breweries would locate in the area. At the height of its success, there were five breweries located in the area.
German Village was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 30, 1974, becoming the list's largest privately funded preservation district, and in 2007, was made a Preserve America Community by the White House. On November 28, 1980, its boundaries increased, and today it is one of the world's premier historic restorations.
Stage Capital Partners acquired the property in 2018 and has been working on redeveloping the property, in collaboration with McCabe Companies, into a mixed-use project that will become a destination for anyone visiting and living in the Columbus region. This little house has a complex front garden filled with decorative displays of various kinds. Because of the large greenery and the closely parked cars, I am unable to get a photo that shows the variety of folk art. Perhaps if you enlarge you can pick out a few things. Enjoy!
An English front changer made by Cyclo and very similar to Campagnolo's Gran Sport and Valentino 'matchbox' models.
Not sure if the shot has any merit or not; but I sort of liked the contrast between the sleek new car and the grungy streetscape. Also found it fun to zoom in and explore all the interesting items inside, and in front of the shop.
I took this from my car window at 80 MPH on I-25 on my way to work. The storm clouds were hanging over the plains, but the morning sun was still hitting the snow on the Front Range peaks. Winter's on it's way!
68023 leads the Tesco train around the curves at Abbington loop, bringing the front and (almost) the back of the train into view.

okay, it's more like a dock :)
This patio is located in the front of the inn. It is next to the front door and just around the corner is the office door. This patio is perfect for people watching or reading a book. There are a few bistro tables and chairs available for our guests as well.
I live in a dorm, so, not exactly my dream setup. Someday...
