Original joists were on 24 inch centers and the new ones are 16 inch. Mo' money but way mo' better. The 4x6 vertical used to be in two pieces which rested on a horizontal 4x6 beam but were only toenailed together with no metal brackets. These vertical posts are one piece from the ground to the roof overhead tied with metal brackets top and bottom and the horizontal beam now has metal brackets at each attaching point between the verticals. This deck ain't going nowhere.
I need to decide which of these will be displayed as the back and which as the front. They are each a piece of a diptych, except one needs to have the back exposed instead of the front. I'm leaning towards the bottom one as the back and the top as the front, what do you think?
The front entrance pillar has now been completed with the addition of render. 4:35pm, Sunday the 5th of December, 2021.

Last summer you two and all of her older brothers and sisters ended up high up in Section 204 of Reba’s show because there were so many in your guest party. 🤔
Sounds like in your dreams, you and your very lovely lady did much better with your seating arrangements.
So now at the mid point of your fabulous Las Vegas Fling, at the longest day of your trip, what marvelously magnificent mischief are you prepared to get into today? Why don’t you reserve a luxury NY-NY poolside cabana and try to work on your suntan? You could have lunch poolside and sip frozen Mango Margaritas all day long until closing time.
Or you could camp out at your favorite Roulette table on the NY-NY casino floor playing 14 - 21 - 24 and 27 until you hit it big and win a thousand bucks!
Or you could just stroll up-and-around the Fabulous NY-NY Resort Campus taking Flickr pictures until something strikes your fancy. But before you do anything grand and wonderful, don’t you think you should get dressed and head on down and have breakfast first? Don’t you think... 😷😎🤔

There is a Rubgy Oval on the west side of the place where I work Hawthorn, I noticed these a day or so ago, and have watched them move around since, with a little spare time up my hands, I wandered down and snapped off a shot of them, mainly for my 'the vanquished set'.

Well, I've made it to the front cover! My image (below) of the Old Isleworth Boathouse appears on the cover of the March 2011 edition of The Green, a glossy magazine covering west London.
The magazine is published by Archant Life, a community media company which publishes four daily newspapers and 100 regional magazines such as Devon Life and similar county titles.
Oh - and the editor found the image here on Flickr. So you never know...
