Tower of Songs
Rising high above the city, the Hallelujah Tower is home to luxury apartments as well as one of the new city's most renowned night clubs, the Love Café. When the city was rebuilt following the floods of the early 22nd century, great efforts were made to save and restore as many cultural landmarks as possible. The mural of Leonard Cohen was one such landmark that was rescued, although not much remains of the original 20th century building that it once adorned.
This build was inspired by a Leonard Cohen mural located on Crescent Street in Montréal,QC, "Tower of Songs" by El Mac & Gene Pendon. The studs-out portion of the ground floor is constructed mostly with 371 Warm Tan. Excluding minifig parts, there's currently only four elements available in this colour; three plates and one tile, which presented a fun challenge. The upper stories also feature warm tan sections, used to provide a weather effect.

Simplified front end scheme, with reflective ruptured duck. I think it looks pretty good, reminiscent of 4025. Not many former MILW switch targets left to compare with.

When I went out to take pictures of the sunrise this morning; this critter had built a web across the front door and was attached to the glass of the storm door. She went scurrying when I opened the door. When I was clear and the door shut; she went right back to spinning her web across the door.

Got him all put together to test out how he looks and see if there's any more changes to make. I'm okay with him so far, but apparently my stinker broke the other hook on his wing, so I"m installing an s-hook to use instead. Damn dragons and their weak wings. Hamilton is recast, just fyi.
They were , but now 175101 has become the back end of the 1H89 Holyhead - Manchester Airport. awaiting departure from Platform 3 at 1307. 56096 has bought the RHTT in and prepares to run round it's train when the unit has departed.
It took me some fiddling but I figured out how to attach the front bumper upside down with a technic plate.

The original style steps supplied with the kit are much different than the rebuilt ones. I will have to scratchbuild new ones for my models.
