Shine, always.
Keep touching and changing lives.
And never forget the resolution.=P
(I thought my previous picture was going to be my last picture before my departure. But I had to make this wish. I leave tomorrow=)
This is a just cut specimen of petrified palmwood a new, rancher friend is sharing with me and I will have to ask him which county, or which ranch it came from (somewhere not too far from Normana, Texas.)
A portrait of my friend Peter. Peter is also known to some of us as Nanook of the Coast - that's coastal Maine US. which area is his present and historic home.

I was delighted when a Flickr friend Laura Hermann, who lives in Buffalo, Wyoming contacted me and said she was coming through Oklahoma (she lived here for a few years) and would like to meet me. While at my sister's this past week I got to meet Laura and visit for a while before she headed off to Kansas. She was a delightful sweet lady who loves to photograph barns as much as I do! How fun! Flickr has brought me so many wonderful friends I would never have met otherwise!!
My old good friend Xiaoxiao came back to Shanghai for her summer holidays. This photo was taken in my flat, lovely girl with lovely cheongsam---yeah! this is one of my most favourite dress! :o)

Commencement was today. I cant believe these guys graduated.
I love them all so much, they made high school fun. I will definitely miss them next year.
Hey everyone!
I had another friend agree to a test photoshoot recently. Imagine we did this small project on our day off from work (national holiday). :) Now this shoot was sooo much fun. We decided to meet up in the middle of town and just walked around. Normally our nation's capital is a hive of activity on evenings, but we had the run of the place pretty much. This first shot was taken in a tiny alleyway and he wasn't quite ready (nor was I) so consider it a warm up shot.
Now, what I like most about doing portraits is that moment when your model goes from being passive to an active participant. What do I mean by that? At the beginning, the model listens to your directions of "place your hand here" or "try this". But if you are doing it right, something amazing happens when you click. The model starts to relax, ignores the camera and you see their personality more. You may even get some suggestions as they get into the process more. Like my friend here... he's super smart and funny. You'll see that more as I upload more photos. Trust me.
Wishing you all a super fantastic weekend, everyone!

My friend Lance modeling for me in his kitchen, since it had the best light.
Good angle and face shot.
You came to me as a foster who was going to be euthanized at the local shelter in 2004. Just a foster, you won my heart as soon as you walked into my door. You were my Kayla's bud, maybe her soulmate. Together we all hiked the trails together. You were with me when my mother passed and we were together just last year when Kayla crossed the rainbow bridge. You were never quite the same when she left. You are together now my friend. I will miss you forever, a hole forever in my heart.

Here is my first Kaori, another gorgeous doll from the Jenny Friend doll line and another Licca Castle doll to add to my collection. Jenny is very lucky to have so many friends! :)
And Licca Castle knows how to make an irresistible Kaori just like this one. I'm not sure which year she was made in but I'm assuming either 2006 or 2007.
3 different colors can be found in her beautiful eyes: light green, yellow and grey! She has black hair that goes past her shoulders and has very precise waves (it looks like she styled it herself with a haircurler and straightener). ^o^ Plus, she has lovely lips in a shiny beige color. So cute!
I put her into a simple summer-y outfit, the day was unusually warm.
My friend Jason's apartment building is on fire, this is the fire truck arriving on the scene. I didn't know it at the time then I saw the flames and called him, he made it out but is still waiting for word on his unit.
