Back to the cooler climes (climbs?) of the Lake District in time for fence Friday..
This is looking up towards High Seat between Derwent Water and Thirlmere. HFF
I actually took this photograph yesterday on Purrsday at the Lamberton Conservatory in Rochester, NY. My mom drove up and we saw this cute snowcat and were very impressed!

There are hundreds of these posts and all of them are decorated in some form or fashion. It was really impressive. There are tags on them but they just say, done by several groups of people. I'm not the sharpest knife in the draw but I already figured that out. Anyway, you find this place by taking Beach street. It dead ends at the pier.

CN's L588 to Baldwin ambles south through a secret Illinois location on a warm summer morning, led by former IC and GTW power. A standard feature of this train is it following the L544 job, about the only "sure" things scheduled south out of Centralia on a weekday morning. Both will turn west onto the St. Louis Sub at DuQuoin; L544 heading for Prairie States Generating Station near Marissa, and 588 getting a warrant on UP's Sparta Sub to access CN's Sparta Sub.
