First crabs of the season. Probably the last! Too expensive anymore. They were good though!
Cocktail sauce for the shrimp and Ken's Fat-free Tomato Vinaigrette to dip the crabmeat in. Yum!
Sound is ever-present in our lives, whether it’s a subtle soundtrack to the everyday or an immersive sensory encounter. This Friday Late explored the creation, experience and preservation of sound. Visitors were invited to join a soundscape led tour of the galleries or create a standing wave to reflect the resonance of spaces and objects. To visit a museum of sound and reflect on the role of audio archiving. And to discover sonic installations and live interventions as we blur the boundaries between sound, noise and music.

Freaky Friday is the culmination of the Summer programs for the Tweens and Young Adults. They get to come to the library after hours on Friday and have pizza, games and win prizes! This year was a blast!

Home can be a sanctuary, an instinctive feeling of belonging or simply a roof overhead. For this Friday Late, visitors took part in a queer house party to explore the connection between social housing and creativity, saw a performed monument to displacement, and considered how smart technologies might make our private lives public. Feminist embroidery workshops asked attendees to question domesticity, while others heard stories from those who have crossed borders to call a new place home.

Where is the space for creativity in the city? In October 2019 the Friday Late headed beyond the museum walls to Hackney Wick, to explore how artists and designers are responding to the changing cityscape around them. Visitors took part in a pop-up creative studio to consider the transitory nature of physical space and experience performances about dwelling and displacement. They found out how creative communities are innovating, growing and claiming space in east London and beyond. This Friday Late was part of the pre-opening programme for the V&A East project – a new museum at Stratford Waterfront, and a collection and research centre at Here East, opening in 2023.

I needed to look at some colour... It's so gray hrer around now... These flowers were blooming in Autumn close from the building, where live my mom.
At Oklhoma city's Bricktown Ball park, they have fireworks every Friday night home game. It is really a good display and ended a perfect night of baseball.
