April 8, 2017: Recently released from the seemingly successful rebuild program is SD70ACu #7233, seen leading extra rack train I76 north at North Macon, GA.
Freshly Cut, the first bales of the year, not the best of skies, but i like it.

This is my first entry into the Weekly Challenge Group. The challenge theme is "Springy Thing". Of course the weather is very changeable here and there are sunny days too, but the old addage "April showers bring May flowers" continues to be true Welcome to my View of Spring! Thanks to Candie for the title.
The day we arrived at what was to be basecamp on the north shore of Lake Superior for the next 10 days, greeted us with grey skies and steady rain. The landscape though did not disappoint.
Yesterday was incredible. It was snowing when I arrived & the wind was so cold my hands were numb. Despite this I saw all four species of reptile on Ashdown. The afternoon intermittent sunshine was perfect for hunkered down reptiles.
Dublin Bus Tree Lopper AV144 is seen near Slane County Meath on tree cutting duties before a Concert which takes place nearby. The Buses will need to traverse narrow lanes normally not frequented by Double Deck Buses

From my dad's garden
I have decided to stop with the 100 day photo project. This would be photo 50 but I realized I wouldn't get it done before the end of the summer. It's been too hectic lately to take photos.
A good dose of vitamin C - if only in colour.....the appropriate choice for a day home from work. And, I have to agree with the Buckley's commercial: it tastes horrible, but it works!
HELP! How would I post another image in the comments? The new format has left me confused!
Update: I finally figured it out. Although I love the improvements to technology, it always takes me a few years to figure it out....just in time for new changes to be introduced!
Mohammed Ibrihim looks at a freshly picked canteloupe he provided for members of the 775th Engineering Detachment in Djibouti, Feb. 20, 2009. The 775th is in the process of installing a well near Mohammed's village. The well is expected to provide the village with potable water, and aide in irrigating nearby fields..

Whilst it was great to see all the fields looking so golden with crops, the lines of the stubble also looked interesting. Nice to see clouds again as well!
CP H25 has a freshly repainted 3024 in the lead as they move south through a set of block signals after lifting tie gondolas from the west service track at Emery. Normally the Lambton power is only seen up in these parts in the dead of night, so it was nice to grab a shot of a geep at these classic signals.
A secret place where I sat down in Summer after a walk to the river. After many months of worries I could finally have a seat and I realised how much progress I had made using the walking sticks.
There has to be some sunlight for shadows to dance.
If you notice the stamens on the Lilly are still protected by the casing they are in. They’re a mauve color and when the skin comes off the pollen on the end of the stamen is bright orange, and it got all over me yesterday and I still can’t get it off lol.
What does it mean to take the complexity of what it means to be human, to truly be alive, and represent it for each person in one singular moment? When i shot more concerts, I became obsessed about the gesture or facial expression that defined that person. As I age, I am more interested in moments of non performance when someone just absorbs life and lets it in.
I am actually a fairly shy person with people I don't know, especially musicians I admire. So, I have seen John Dwyer perform many times in different states even (Texas, California, Illinois) but I've never had an actual conversation with him. Yet, I love how he always stands on the side of the stage for the openers and really listens actively. Here he is during the Adult set watching. Usually, I see him taking photographs of the other bands from the sides but I think he didn't pull out his camera because it was snowing this day.
Sometimes, you want to believe the dream that the musicians you care about are kind and filled with wonder in real life and you can't risk meeting them in case that just turns out not to be true. I think in Dwyer's case, it's probably true.
