A Photo a Day - July 12, 2010.
Met up today with Laura at Chevys Fresh Mex. They have this machine there where they press and bake fresh tortillas. I got my usual crispy tacos and extra tamalito. Delicious!

Update: This store closed along with the rest of the chain. It later became a grocery store called Delta Fresh Foods. That store later closed.
The store layer became Auto Zone.

i learned something today, maybe i shouldn't wear a red t-shirt next time i go outside to shoot against something that white, that close.
you can see the red of my shirt is reflected in the plums, lower left,
and the shadow off the bowl has taken on a red-ish hue.
i'm constantly struggling with this kodak point & shoot.
some days it works like a charm, other days i fight with the settings, or presets, rather.
add to that, for no reason, i get anxious & in a rush sometimes when i'm setting up a shot,
and i think that greatly affects my end result.
granted, i realize a point & shoot has it's many limitations, it's just frustrating when, shot after shot, the "smart capture" is completely different from the last & i've not moved an inch or an angle.
it's a bit schizophrenic.
i should call my camera sybil.

The 3rd annual Fresh Hop Century, hosted by Base Camp Brewing and Metrofiets. We rode 50 miles into the Willamette Valley to pick up fresh hops. We camped at Geer Crest Farm east of Salem. On the way home we stopped in Silverton at Goschie Farms to pick up 200 lbs of fresh hops and delivered them to Base Camp to make great beer! 13 cargo bikes in all.
