A batch of small sharks, abundant in the ocean off of the seaside village of Arniston, are filleted by workers at a shed near the town boat launch. Arniston is a small seaside settlement in the Overberg region on the Cape South coast, close to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa. Fishing is still an important means of earning a livelihood. The village has an historic section of old fishermen's cottages. Cape Agulhas is where the Atlantic and Indian Ocean collide. It also is a breeding ground for great white sharks.

Got Corinne all dressed for the Winter Meet and gave her fresh bandages in honor of the event. But she looks so purdy and in character now that I don't want to pack her up! XD

Everyone loves a Christmas Tree that is both fresh and bushy.
From www.birstall.co.uk/
"All our Christmas Trees are sheared during their cultivation to produce a bushy conical shape full of foliage. This has been an excellent growing year for quality Christmas Trees.
Treat your Christmas tree like you would cut flowers. After purchase, saw 1-2cm from the base of the tree to create a fresh cut end, place it standing upright in a container of water outside until you are ready to bring your tree indoors. Give it a shake outside to remove the loose needles that may have been plucked from their branches during transportation of the netting process. If possible site your tree away from sources of heat such as a fires or radiators as this will help to retain its freshness.
Trees like temperatures of 20 degrees centigrade or less. Keep an eye on the water level, as indoors your tree will drink around a pint of water a day. The warmer the location the more your trees will drink."

Opened in January 2003 as The Market at Tobacco Row, switched to Farm Fresh in fall 2011
Whenever I travel I always make a point of visiting the markets, even if its only the local supermarket, it provides such an insight into the local food culture. In Loule the daily market is full of mouth water temptations and my bags are soon full before I return to my apartment to cook! These leeks complete with roots are such a contrast to the prepackaged ones you will see so often in British supermarkets!

Haven't had to buy eggs in months - ever since my parents got chickens. Nothing better than fresh eggs in endless quantities!

"Fresh Start"... to others this probably looks like an adorable boy playing on his new ipad. To me... it's a Fresh Start. I didn't take many photos of my own kids last year because I was going through a lot of bad stuff in my life and was in "survival" mode... but this year... 2013... I am going to make up for that. I want to capture them as they are-- not dressed up perfectly or in the most beautiful light... just them. As I see them and love them and don't want to forget them at this age. Childhood goes by so quickly-- and especially when you have twins. You don't get to relive the firsts and the lasts with another child. It all comes at once. So... Fresh to me means Fresh Start.
Our fruit bowl is always full of lovely fresh healthy fruit!
