Sainte Anne Catholic parish was founded in 1701 and served many of the original French settlers of Detroit. So the name of the school reflects the parish's French heritage.

She also cured adults and she was a great figure in our french medecine. I met her once in a Bar Mitzva, all the children were around her.....
