This is sort of sad-looking. My favorite is the bowl of frozen bacon fat, however.

We finally broke down and bought a small (5 cu. ft.) chest freezer.
Our space is limited so the freezer will live in the battery dome.
These don't cost a lot. The energy draw is about 1/4 of a energy star
upright fridge/freezer. The idea is we will run it from Fall to Spring
and leave it off during summer when we have minimal solar power.

I've been eating out of 3 freezers for the past 6 months and still find surprises in them!? And I still don't have room to consolidate them into 2 freezers!?
This thing (pictured below center) has been making a racket for some time so today was the day for an inspection. The entire back panel of the freezer section is shown dropped to the bottom of the freezer section above. (easy) It is still possible we are looking at a new fan & or grommets. Time will tell after repairing the broken fan shroud this aft.

I'm taking a photography class this semester at college. My first homework assignment was to complete a photo scavanger hunt. I had to take a picture of my friends, myself, a meal, something ugly, something beautiful, a beautiful landscape, an ugly landscape, somthing funny, my favorite room in my house, and myself at my job. Well here is the picture of myself at my job.
I am the baker at an industrial bakery. I make cakes ahead of time and store them in the freezer. Every week I have to go in and do an inventory of what I have so I don't end up with too much of one thing and not enough of something else. I spend about an hour in the freezer a week. I've gotten used to zero degree temperature. I just put my ski coat on and zipper it up all the way. The funny thing about being in there an hour straight is that frost starts to grow on your eyelashes so when you come up and warm up, you have wet eyes. I usually come out of the freezer and throw my body against the giant oven door which is hot or open up the oven and stand in front/inside. My worst day in the freezer, I had a rack fall over and hit me in the face. It was heavy because it had trays of frozen cookie dough on it. My face hurt and I did something bad to my back but I'm better now. I've also had round brownies fall down and hit me in the face. You also have to be careful of the icles that hang two stories up. They're big and deadly and hang in my cake corner. :(
I noticed these freezer units had those lights that go out when no one's around them. Maybe they were retrofitted with new lighting? They definitely look like they may be newer than mid-90's vintage to me anyway.
